“Great Evening on the back patio!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2014

I stumbled upon Desert Bistro when I was walking back from town and returned that night (solo) for dinner to check it out for friends that were coming in the next day. We made reservations for Friday night and sat on the back deck. The owner, Michelle was friendly and very hospitable. Both my waitress on my solo dinner and the waitress with our group were both tremendous servers. We each orders different dishes and everyone was very pleased with the quality of the food and preparation. We shared the Chocolate Mousse, which was delicious. This was my nicest dinner experience in Moab in 25 years of visiting. Highly, HIGHLY Recommend!

“Surely one of the best in ... Well, anywhere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2014 via mobile

We've dined at the Desert Bistro a dozen times and it has never failed us! The food, the decor, the patio are all absolutely wonderful, but one unique feature is the superbly artistic way your meal is presented! From soup to nuts you'll be amazed - simply too beautiful to eat - almost!

“This place is really great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2014

Definitely the best restaurant in all of Moab. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was beautifully prepared and presented and absolutely delicious. The service was phenomenal.

I recommend this place very highly. Looking forward to going back the next time I'm in town.

“Hong Kong, Paris, New York......and Moab”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

Have you ever seen those bumper stickers?? Well, now i know why. the cuisine at Desert Bistro compares with anything tasted in any of those world class cities!!! Appetizers - Ahi tuna, scallops, crab muffins - all world class!! Entres - Sea Bass, filet, pasta - all excellent. Don't skip desert - pot du creme with coffe and chocolate was rich and wonderful.
Service - attentive and detailed without being overbearing. In conclucion, I just can't say enough good things about this restaurant - fine dining in a laid back town!!!!

“Imaginative Cooking, Uneven Results”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

I was part of a large group that ate here on April 24 and had a wonderful evening. The restaurant is very attractive, nice art on walls, terrific wait staff. Everything on the menu sounded very enticing, so we ordered many different entree's. Presentations were lovely, befitting the prices, and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. Our main problem was that almost every dish was too complicated, with flavors that did not necessarily enhance each other. So that the full flavor of the main ingredient was lost in the seasonings. I had the pork tenderloin with potato pancakes which was terrific. A friend had the pistachio crusted tofu which she liked, but it came with an excessively large pile of quinoa that had an unpleasant aftertaste. Another had the fish of the day, but again it came with a mound of another grain, tabbouleh maybe, which would have served three people at least. Besides the pork, the dish that got the highest rating was a pasta with mushrooms and a delicious brothy sauce. I would definitely go back here for a nice meal in Moab, but hope the chef takes note of what comes back to the kitchen unfinished. Cut down on the amount of grains, and rethink the seasoning level.
