After we finished the Fisher Towers hike we went to Negro Bill Canyon and Morning Glory Arch. I had considered that hike when planning but decided it probably wouldn’t be worth the distance/effort. While we were ballooning, I got to talking to a 30 something young lady who was a local mountain bike guide and asked her for suggestions for things to do. She said Negro Bill Canyon was her favorite hike so we gave it a shot & we were very glad we did. We hiked for 5 miles on this one. This was one instance where the trail was nicer than the destination. This was another trail that followed a stream. Wow, two of them in Utah, who knew:>) We had to keep crossing over the stream, a total of nine rock hops and one log walk. When we got to the arch, which was a nice big one, we found it was kind of hard to distinguish it from the huge rock wall behind it since there wasn’t a lot of distance between the arch and the cliff. Of course this made it very hard to try to get a decent photograph. This was compounded by the fact the canyon had narrowed down some at the end and you really need a wide angle lens at this point. Left mine in KY.
