“Nice View, Okay Facilities”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2011

We rented a basic cabin - it was definitely basic. It had a table, plastic chairs, and a bunk of double beds. Linens not provided, but we were aware of that. The air conditioning blew so hard that the door almost couldn't be opened. The bathroom was small, old, and got crowded easily. The pool was very small. However, the office/store had basic necessities and the staff was very friendly. We had a wonderful view from the bench and picnic table outside our cabin.

This park is out of the Moab city congestion, so it is quite. Spaces are large, wide and long enough of accomodate our 65 feet of truck, 5th wheel trailer and RZR trailer. The one thing we were looking for in an RV park in this area was the ability to ride directly off the premise and onto to off-highway trails. The staff were friendly, courteous & very helpful and knowledable about the types of trails available and the levels of difficulty.
With their help we took several great rides. Pat was also the one who recommended the dinner and boat trip up the Colorado and was kind enough to give us a discount coupon. (dinner and boat ride were great fun)!
The park is clean and well maintained. Restrooms were also well kept and each unit was complete with a commode, sink and shower. (shower heads were a little too low for us) but water pressure was great.
We will be back in the spring and bring all our friends who have RZRs & quads.
If you are interested in off road riding and want easy access to trails, we highly recommend this park!

When you make your reservation, they make is sound like they are busy. They are NOT. They make you pay for your first day. And if you decide to move on they make you pay for the entire reservation. NO FLEXIBILITY. They do NOT tell you this and their site is quite vague. You are never expected to pay for a motel when your plans change, but you are here. They are there to make a buck. YOURS. Don't stay. Facilities are mediocre, sites are horrible, little to no shade and if you HAVE to buy something at their store, it will be 3X the expected price. Go ten more miles to Moab. They have better campgrounds. One other thing. CHECK to rules. This place is run like a minimum security prison.

If you like ants crawling all over your tent, attacks by swarming mosquitos, or your tent stakes being ripped out by passing wind storms, do not stay here in a tent site. If it weren't for being crammed in between other tent sites (no privacy), a small child knocking on our tent to wake us up in the early morning, and various other pestilences, it'd be a great place to stay. But it's not. We stayed the first night and decided to get a hotel the second night, what a great idea!

They advertise a pool. It is a hole in the ground about 15" around. you sit out in the sun and unless you buy the premier sites you cant see arches unless you walk to it.

We almost cancelled our reservation after reading the other reviews. I am glad we didn't. We stayed in a deluxe cabin. It was very clean, the linens were all freshly washed, the fridge was spotless. We all showered and it worked fine. Most importantly the air conditioning worked the whole time...it was 102. I've been in other campground cabins, which are usually very small and thought this was totally worth the money. My eight year old was sad to go. All the people that worked there were very friendly too.

This park is old and run down. The roads are gravel and the R/V and tent sites are red clay dirt. It was raining when we arrived and our site was a muddy mess. The next day when the ground dried there was dust flying all over whenever someone drove around the park. Not enough restrooms/showers for the number of tent sites (20) and cabins (14) let alone any R/V owner who wished to use them. There are only 3 mixed sex rest room/shower combo rooms. So if there are 3 people using the showers the doors are locked and no one can take a quick leak. You must wait for the persons using the showers to finish and beg the next lady in line for a shower to let you take a quick pee. I saw parents taking their kids to the fence line to let them pee. The Wi-Fi is useless. The signal is low and it keeps kicking you off line. The store and gas pumps are a rip-off. Food and supplies in their store are very overpriced, about double what you would pay at a 7-11. The gas at their pumps costs 40 cents more a gallon than what gas is sold for in Moab about 5 miles down the road. Most trees are less than 6 ft tall and do not offer any shade. There is only one very large dumpster and it was overflowing. The stink coming from it was terrible. Check in was very slow. They are not computerized. Instead they use a large calendar book to see what sites are available for how many days. There were 2 people behind the counter but only one person could use the calendar book at a time. There was a small pool but it is not heated. I would not stay here again even if it was free. Front desk people were rude.
