“Great place to drive when the leaves are changing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

If you can make this drive when the leaves are changing it will be breathtaking. The leaves on the Aspens are like little gold pieces shimmering in the wind against the backdrop of the green pines. Oct. is deer season, so watch out for hunters.

“Wow!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

Beautiful mountain with quiet and secluded camping areas. Spotted two gorgeous does that weren't easily spooked. Amazing birch trees and wooded areas with trails throughout. Would love to camp here with hubby ;)
Caught gorgeous sunset before leaving...excellent photos!

“Worth the effort!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

With the heat in the afternoon starting to tire us somewhat we decided to drive the La Sal Mountain Loop - what a fabulous way to spend a hot afternoon as the temperatures 'up top' were nearly 20 degrees cooler.

The drive took you along the Colorado river with the immense canyons red rocks to a beautifully lush valley, slowly climbed the side of the mountains with incredible views and then down the other side through thick forests back to the Highway 191.

A perfect rest bite from the heat of Moab.

“amazing drive”

Amazing drive!!! Loved every second of it... if you ever get the time and the chance to do, it is worth the 2.5-3 hour drive. Very scenic experience.

“Great fall drive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

I've been on this drive several times. Fall is lovely.....early spring can find snow near the top.....summer takes you out of the heat in the valley and gives way to lovely views.
