“Moab Hampton stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

Clean hotel, welcoming families. Average breakfast: not much variety, however the food was fresh (fruits, yogurts, pastries...) Small size swimming pool and Jacuzzi, well maintained. Location great: close to the National arches park and the Moab stone store:-)

My wife and I spent two nights here on our way to Coupeville, WA. We had planned to stop again on our return but extended our travel time to avoid staying here again. The room was just average as was the staff. Breakfast was horrible. Definitely overpriced.

The room was average for comfort and spaciousness. The problem I had was with the cleanliness, pool size and breakfast. 1) CLEANLINESS: The toilet was NOT wiped down. At the base of the toilet was previous guest's urine. If the toilet was not appropriately what else was not being cleaned or changed? 2) POOL: Moab is HOT (103 when we were there) during the summer and why not have a decent nice size pool for clients to enjoy after a hiking, biking, rafting and whatever else travelers do in the desert. The pool was so overcrowded all the time that we didn't even bother trying to enjoy it. 3) BREAKFAST: There was a nice selection of breakfast items too bad that most were cheaply made from over processed ingredients. Stick with the fresh items and I guess it won't be that bad. The eggs and gravy were just fake tasting.

Try to get a discount because paying full price would not be worth it!

Room Tip: Give an independently owned hotel/inn a try.

The housekeeping staff will have you up bright and early, even if you have a schedule do not disturb and late check out. The breakfast includes fake eggs and everything cheap. Pass on this location and save yourself for overpaying. There are a lot of other options in this town.

Clean and comfortable. I think the room was reasonably priced at $190 a night for the weekend. This included a decent free breakfast. Good place to come back from after a day outdoors. The pool was nice to cool off in, the shower was hot and the service was good. No real complaints... towels were a little scratchy. There was no real character, just a quality hotel.

This was the best priced hotel I could find ($151 including taxes per night). All the other hotels/motels were MUCH higher. We stayed there over the full weekend, so not bad.

The rooms were super clean, the beds were very comfortable and I had no problems. It is on the edge of town, but we weren't there to see the town...we were there for the adventures and just used it as a place for free breakfast, free wifi and it was SUPER quiet.

I would stay there again in a heart beat.

If you want to go to the center of town you are about 3-4 blocks from most of the restaurants and food...but we drove to dinner once we got back from all the adventures we went on, then came back to the hotel. So this wasn't a problem for us. The food is normal for a Hampton Inn (eggs, cereal, toast, yogurt, waffles, etc.). This was just enough for us to start the day and save a few bucks...

I see others paid a lot more to stay here, so i don't know where they got their rates, but if you call you can get some good rates like we did...

Room Tip: we were in room 316, which was a perfect location that was super quiet...

The Hampton Inn in Moab is a typical Hampton Inn. Clean and comfortable. Or almost comfortable. The pillows are the worst I've ever tried to sleep on, and I emphasize "tried". After the first night we complained and we got new pillows which were tolerable, but barely.

In addition to clean and comfortable, I always want a hotel to be quiet. At this Hampton Inn, there was very little noise from the hallway or from opening and closing doors, but every footstep taken by the people above us felt and sounded like the floor would cave in. Very hard to get to sleep at night with people walking on your head. If you stay here, be sure to ask for a top floor room.

Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn, which is to say a decent cold buffet, do-it-yourself waffles, and "eggs" that inedible.

Room Tip: Top floor to avoid noise from above
