“Quality Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

Clean and comfortable. I think the room was reasonably priced at $190 a night for the weekend. This included a decent free breakfast. Good place to come back from after a day outdoors. The pool was nice to cool off in, the shower was hot and the service was good. No real complaints... towels were a little scratchy. There was no real character, just a quality hotel.

This was the best priced hotel I could find ($151 including taxes per night). All the other hotels/motels were MUCH higher. We stayed there over the full weekend, so not bad.

The rooms were super clean, the beds were very comfortable and I had no problems. It is on the edge of town, but we weren't there to see the town...we were there for the adventures and just used it as a place for free breakfast, free wifi and it was SUPER quiet.

I would stay there again in a heart beat.

If you want to go to the center of town you are about 3-4 blocks from most of the restaurants and food...but we drove to dinner once we got back from all the adventures we went on, then came back to the hotel. So this wasn't a problem for us. The food is normal for a Hampton Inn (eggs, cereal, toast, yogurt, waffles, etc.). This was just enough for us to start the day and save a few bucks...

I see others paid a lot more to stay here, so i don't know where they got their rates, but if you call you can get some good rates like we did...

Room Tip: we were in room 316, which was a perfect location that was super quiet...

The Hampton Inn in Moab is a typical Hampton Inn. Clean and comfortable. Or almost comfortable. The pillows are the worst I've ever tried to sleep on, and I emphasize "tried". After the first night we complained and we got new pillows which were tolerable, but barely.

In addition to clean and comfortable, I always want a hotel to be quiet. At this Hampton Inn, there was very little noise from the hallway or from opening and closing doors, but every footstep taken by the people above us felt and sounded like the floor would cave in. Very hard to get to sleep at night with people walking on your head. If you stay here, be sure to ask for a top floor room.

Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn, which is to say a decent cold buffet, do-it-yourself waffles, and "eggs" that inedible.

Room Tip: Top floor to avoid noise from above

W have a really ice stay at the Hampton Inn in Moab. Although it is in the north of town, town is only a few blocks long, so walking, at least to the middle of town isn't hard. That said, this is a small town with easy parking, so if you aren't up to a walk the drive is about 30 seconds into town.

This hotel has coffee (regular, bold decaf inmates) and hot water for tea or hot chocolate (my kids liked this, even though it was HOT outside). The pool was small but big enough to swim a little to cool off. We had the pool to ourselves most days we were there (we stayed 3 nights and didn't have a problem with the air conditioning, it wasn't dirty and the breakfast was OK. If you want to leave early they'll give you a bagged breakfast, or you can grab some food to go. They have a waffle maker, cold cereal, something hot (eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, etc) fresh fruit and oatmeal. The breakfast isn't gourmet or what you would expect ordering from a menu, but I'm not sure why anyone would expect more than standard fare.

All in all this was a nice home base to explore arches and canyonlands.

At the $200 per night price tag, you can do better. Several things contributed to my rating of this hotel. First sign of bad things to come was having to find the toilet paper, then spool it on yourself. Second thing was a very noisy air conditioner that cycled all night long. Third item was a toilet that decides to work when it wants to. Fourth thing was the dirty floor. I took my shoes off and walked around in my white socks, and they were black from dirt. No TV channel guide. Parking is the pits as this is on a very small property at the end of town. Convenience is out of the question. So, I tried to explain to the desk person the next morning and he acted like he really didn't care. I did notice a sign on the counter "If you are not satisfied, You don't pay,". There was no concession offered, there was really no apology given. Enough said.... Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.....

If you travel to Moab; you should look for another place to stay. This hotel does not live up to the fine reputation of most Hampton Inns. The pillows are hard, our room was noisy, for some unknown reason our reservations were not accurate. The breakfast scramble eggs were over cooked. It is located outside of town at the north end. Avoid rooms 101-102 since they are near the outside exit doors.

I appreciate the review of your recent stay at our hotel. I'm sorry that you received a poor level of service; this is not the Hampton norm as our goal is Satisfaction Guaranteed. I have addressed these issues with our staff. The next time you are in the area we would love to have you come back and experience an improved level of customer service. Thank you once again for your comments.

Hotel looks brand new - possibly is. Right on main street, super clean, breakfast included. Reasonable rate. Full hot breakfast with different selection daily. Right across the street is Moab Tour Company - walk over and do a Razr ride through Moab!
