“2nd tme around by choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2010

We have visitd Moab before and, on this return trip we chose to stay at Aarches Inn again. We were impressed the first time and equally as iimpressed this time. The motel is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, it is quiet and comfortable. There is a very nice outdoor pool/patio area and a very nice picnic pavillion complete with grill in back of the motel. it is just a very short drive from downtown Moab. If we are ever in the area again, we will return to this motel.

Much to our surprise, we arrived in Moab, Utah at what turned out to be the beginning of the busy season and we had trouble finding a room with no prior reservations. After calling most of the major chain motels and finding no vacancies, we were lucky enough to have the Aarchway Inn recommended to us. When we called them, not knowing anything about the motel, we were able to reserve their last room. A bit unsure what we would find as we drove to the motel, we were quite thrilled with our "last minute find". The Aarchway was wonderful! The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The pool and jacuzzi were great! The breakfasts that were included with the price of the room were far better than most complimentary breakfasts. In addition to the usual cereals, muffins, waffles, bagels, etc, each day they had a couple choices of warm egg dishes (like cheese omelets or scrambled eggs with bacon, etc), warm biscuits, sausage gravy, sausage patties some days and bacon other days. The staff in the breakfast room, although they were not there to serve you but to keep the food stocked and to clean up, were excellent and although I don't usually tip in these situations I certainly did here. They were exceptionally friendly, helped hold the lids while I served myself eggs, etc, opened the warming doors, etc. The staff at the front desk were also very friendly and helpful. Warm cookies were available nightly at the front desk too. Although we ended up at the Aarchway only because it was the only room in town, we will choose this wonderful place first next time we are in town! Although the motel is at the edge of town and not walking distance to the heart of Moab, we will return.

As above - would stay again. Aside from the unncecessry need to use 50 characters in the review the motel was fine.

I have traveled to Moab for business and pleasure every other weekend since September. I have always stayed at the Aarchway. The staff is like family. They go out of their way to help. Bought a DVD player for me when others were checked out. The breakfasts are the best. Homemade salsa ... no continental here. Check out the apartments if you need a little extra room. Oh and did I mention the hot cookies every afternoon! Don't stay anywhere else. Dave

I found the Aarchway Inn online and from their webside we weren't expecting much. I was one of the few hotels that stil had rooms available on a busy weekend so we had low expectations.
The reservation through email was different from most other hotels but the staff was very nice.
We got to the hotel thursday night very late and had a nice welcome. Gladly we made the reservation - the whole town was fully booked.
Our room was on the second floor in the back of the hotel - very quiet and nice. The room was clean and quite big (we had to queen beds). The furniture was on the newer side and pretty. The whole hotel looks better in reality then it does on the webside.
Only the breakfast could do with some improvements. The food offered is only ok but the breakfast area is old and odd.
Over all, the hotel is kind of pricy (but all hotels in Moab are on the expensive side) but worth the extra money. The hotel is a little outside of Moab - good for a quiet stay but not so convinient for dining and shopping (there is a great City Market in town, very good deli and fresh food selection, good for buying things for the daytrips).
Don't let yourself be fooled by the webside, it's a great place to stay.
Arches National Park is about 3 Miles away and one of the best NPs we have been to so far.

The breakfast was very good and the ladies who worked the breakfast were excellent - such hard workers and so pleasant!!! Helen Hayes was our favorite!

Stayed this past weekend, rooms were nice and the free breakfast was much more than a continental, eggs, french toast, biscuits and gravy! Very good way to start out your day before hiking. The ladies that prepare and service the breakfast group were sweet and friendly. We will definitely return.
