anywhere else!

This has to be Moab's BEST hotel . . . has to be.
THE CLEANIST hotel room that I have stayed in thus far.
Large well - appointed 2 queen bed room, comfortable bed, solid walls ( no noise from the adjoining rooms), granite or granite - like countertops and large bathroom.

Breakfast . . . oh my! Very impressive to have a FULL breakfast - depending on the day; eggs / scrambled or boiled, bacon or sausage, waffles, french toast, toast , fruits, yogurt, several types of juice, biscuits and gravy, cereal etc., etc.. By all means try LaDonna's homemade salsa . . . girl that stuff rocks especially when married up with scrambled eggs! Needs to be patented and sold in stores.

WiFi connection was sporadic during our stay but still it is nice to have for free.
Great location at the north of Moab which equals a quieter night's sleep.
2 miles south of Arches NP and 30 - 40 miles east of Canyonlands NP.

Courtyard has an inviting pool and enclosed hot tub. Gas grill and picnic area are available too.

weird layout, no elevator, stairs in random labyrinth areas.
Employees smoke in carport check-in area.
plunger was kept under bathroom sink in suite... TOUCHING THE TOWELS (not talking about the handle end, either!)
Unkept appearance as far as ceiling tiles were knocked crooked exposing the open ceiling for a couple days. Door jambs in room/bathroom were pretty gross, as well as the nasty phone next to the toilet.
housekeeping seemed unprofessional as far as leaving piles of used linens in the hallway for hours while they serviced each floor.
breakfast was nice, as well as LaDonna & Carl in the breakfast room. They were very pleasant. Carl told stories about Moab in the early pre-mining & tourism days.
it was a decent place other than that.

We stayed there the dayss between the Jeep Jamborie and car show. I thought the prices were high, for a very unprofessional, (High School setting) hotel.......Brittney was rude and only cared about here fellow employees and what they were doing, smoking....and not paying atttention to my needs or any other needs of other customers. I was ignored so she could talk to whom ever was gathered around the desk (Other employees). I stayed in a room that I am sure had bed bugs, they said they knew nothing about ever having bed bugs before. I breakfast was so, so better than most and more freindly. I think it is the most unprofessional hotel I have ever stayed at and I travel alot. I was like going to a high school play.......VERY DISAPOINATED Wi - Fi is very bad also, I ask and no one could help...

We enjoyed our stay at the Aarchway Inn. The rooms were nice, but not spectacular. The amenities were very good - refrigerator, microwave, free Internet, etc. and we especially appreciated the fresh cookies and coffee available in the lobby at all hours. The complimentary breakfast was significantly better than the free breakfasts served at most hotels. Fresh pastry, eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, fruit, yogurt, and more.

This is my first time writing a review on TripAdvisor but I feel it is due as it was the great reviews from other users that brought mr to that location. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any requests. The location was great for us just 2 min drive from town so the feeling of seclusion without distance to all the amenities. Rooms were standard rooms but well decorated with Santa Fa style, very clean. Pool and hot tube were sheltered from the outside world and had a great view of the canyon walls. The best though was fresh baked chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies all day long. My only complaint was wireless was weak in the rooms. I would get frustrated sometimes an head to the lobby which had a good signal. However the lobby did have comfortable couches and chairs.

In these times of economic hardship, customer service has been one of the things that most businesses are trying to improve on. Apparently this is not the case at this hotel. The hotel was just the same as any other hotel beyond that. Nice accommodations, a pool, quietness, etc., etc. We had already had the reservation ahead of time because of a recommendation from a friend. I had tried calling ahead to get the exact location on our way into the Moab Valley but nobody seemed to be answering, even after several calls. Luckily the location was fairly easy when we were close. As soon as I walked in I realized why my phone calls hadn't been answered. I didn't realize that the Aarchway Inn was also a daycare center for their employees. The girl behind the desk had a baby with here and acted bothered that we were even wanting to check in. I understand there are emergencies and such but to a certain extent. Obviously this girl couldn't do her job with her baby there. This drove me crazy and was very unprofessional. I work in customer service and know how big of an impact this can make. When people have good customer service, they tell 2 people. When they have bad customer service, like I received, they tell a whole lot more (and this is why I feel the need to share). I wouldn't recommend this hotel because of the unprofessionalism laking in this case.
