“Just Okay....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

I popped in for a sandwich while walking around Appomattox. It took forever for the young girl to make my sandwich, not many people there. So I sat and tried to wait patiently... Ha! The sandwich came out after about 30 mins. It was okay, but nothing to go back again for. I got a scone to go... took a bite after walking out and she had given me the wrong one. I think she may have been too young to be behind the counter. Don't go hungry!!

“Good but overpriced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

The atmosphere is awesome. It was quiet, there is plenty of space and you are surrounded by books. The quality of food and drinks is great too. My wife and I had a piece of cheesecake, a cream soda and a smoothie and everything was terrific. Unfortunately, everything from the books to the food and drinks is extremely overpriced. It was around $13 for a piece of cheesecake and those two drinks. The books are also pricey. It had a great selection (along with a small number of used books) and was worth browsing but I would go somewhere else if you're considering buying a book. You can always pick a book off the shelf and go read it. The service was okay. The cashier wasn't rude or pushy or anything but he didn't seem happy to be there.

“A Really Neat Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

I went here for a cappaccino after eating at Granny Bee's. This place was really cool. Downstairs they have the old fashion bookshelves with a nice collection of books. The capp was good and the service was friendly. I browsed through the books and the musical instruments they have at the back of the store.

“Coffee, books and open mic. night.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

Just opened. A cool place in a town that's starting to blossom into a great place to visit. Good coffee. Browse the bookshelves. Show up with your guitar for open mic night.( They told us this is starting soon) Thanks to for bringing a coffee house to Scottsville.

“Eclectic coffee shop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

We stopped in here after our visit to the park. It is a most interesting coffee shop. The coffee was good and the ambiance is great. There is a big soft leather sofa to sink into and books to browse or musical instruments to purchase if you care.
It is also a local music venue and there were lots of adverts for upcoming performers.
The staff were very friendly. There was outside seating.
