Laurel Lodge was the perfect place to stay in Harpers Ferry - an amazing view from the Cedar Room and the verandah. We were overlooking the Potomac and looking out on the Blue Ridge Mts and hearing an atmospheric train whisle in the trees below. It's obvious Chris and Ed take pride in their enterprise , with unusual gourmet choices for breakfast , homemade cookies etc. The house itself is a tourist attraction and Chris was very helpful with our itinerary especially our route to Antietam battlefield which led us thro' some "deliverance" type woodlands. We had a most enjoyable stay.
