I stayed one night here at the beginning of November. Beautiful house and gardens, excellent room, extremely helpful and charming hosts and wonderful breakfast. Can recommend it very highly indeed.

Stayed just this past week at the Jackson Rose with friends, and we could not have had a more wonderful time. The rooms are gorgeous, the innkeepers are lovely, and we were just thrilled with the relaxed yet beautiful atmosphere. A wonderful place to stay while enjoying the area.

This was our first visit to Harper's Ferry and we had a fantastic stay at Jackson Rose. It's and old home with tons of character and our room (the Garret Room) was comfy and inviting. It's a quiet place and there was a nice selection of books to read while we were there, which was great for history nerds like us. The Hales are great hosts...they were helpful and friendly, and they made good suggestions on things to do and restaurants to try, which really allowed us to enjoy ourselves. Breakfast was delish, and Deborah Hale makes the best jams ever. We'll definitely be back.

Our stay was delightful, the hosts so gracious as well as being excellent cooks, and the room was simply beautiful. We would highly recommend the Jackson Rose!

This B&B is located about 1 mile from the "downtown" of Harpers Ferry. We stayed in the Jackson Rose room, which is located in the front of the house facing the street. The house is located far enough away from the road that you do not hear any street noise. You may hear the other guests, as it is a historic old house, the floors squeek. There is a noise machine in the room that can help drown out any noises. The room is a good size but again since it is an old house there is no closet. The bathroom has a shower only. The breakfest was very good and presented very well. There is a sitting room downstairs and a tv room on the 2nd floor outside the Jackson room. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in the area.

Deb and Phil are wonderful hosts. When we arrived Deb made us feel welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. She brought us up some ice water and peanuts as we snacked before heading out for dinner. She had some local recommendations, but we were looking for a bit more so she recommended we check out Shepherdstown about 20 minutes up the road. It's a little pricey, but we found an excellent restaurant up there, The Press Room, which is well worth the trip (and it's not too expensive). As for the Jackson Rose, the room was large and comfortable; the only complaint we have is that the walls are thin. We stayed in the Linden room and could hear sneezing and such in the Jackson Rose room. Not good if you want more privacy and seclusion. No complaints at all about breakfast, it was delicious and filling! The room rate was reasonable, especially considering you're probably not going to find any other place as nice or with such hospitality in Harper's Ferry! We would definately stay here again, though possibly trying for the room on the 3rd floor which I believe has no neighbors!
