My husband and I and our two children (aged 12 and 18) enjoyed a short but lovely stay at the Jackson Rose B&B last night.
This historic inn has been beautifully restored. We had the third floor suite under the eves, and it could not have been more charming or comfortable. The room was very clean, well decorated and thoughtfully furnished.
Deb was very helpful, settling us in, directing us to the historic district of Harper's Ferry and recommending several local places to eat dinner.
We slept well in our extremely comfortable beds, and enjoyed an unexpectedly wonderful breakfast this morning, served at the large dining room table by our hosts. We sat down to hot tea and coffee, orange juice and melon balls, followed by delicious hot, home baked blueberry muffins, and then a full plate of fresh herb laced scrambled eggs, ham, fried potatoes and a thick slices of hearty toasted bread and homemade blackberry and gooseberry jams, while enjoying the company of the other guests. Delightful! I only wish we had spent more than one night at the Jackson Rose.
