What a way to finish our weeklong bike trip of the Great Allegheny/C & C Towpath. Pushing our bikes up the final long hill (yes, pushing) we hoped not to be disappointed. We five middle aged women were ready to celebrate our success and the Jackson Rose B & B provided the perfect venue. Our host was more than generous and helpful (such as the offer of wine and help finding more) we lounged before dinner in a games/TV/den room and after dinner in a beautiful living room that took us back to a much earlier time of this majestic home's life.
Breakfast was the very best of our trip - individually prepared to perfection with wonderful home made jams. A real treat in a stunningly beautiful dining room.

We are thrilled that we found this place. Deb is fabulous at making the breakfast a feast of a delicious variety of homemade preserves, muffins, breads, and other surprise plates. The rooms have the "wow" factor. After a day of activities, you feel like you are going home...cleaner tho...LOL

Harpers Ferry is even better with The Jackson Rose.

Wonderful rooms. Comfortable, spotless and charming.
Breakfasts were wonderful and the our hosts were very nice.
To top it off, the place was quite cool even on a 100 degree day.
Highly recommend it!

We arrived early to this destination and while they were not yet ready for us, they took the time to welcome us and make some suggestions for the rest of our day. we took their advice and borrowed the audio for The Antietam Battlefields. We spent Memorial Day remembering those who fought and died.
We returned to the B& B and just relaxed in its' beauty and history. Our room - the Stonewall Jackson room was comfortable and well decorated.
Breakfast was very good and made a good start for each day.
