“Best. Time. Ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

We are frequent visitors to the Bayfield area and often stay at the many properties managed by the Bayfield Inn. We have stayed at many of their properties, Isaac Wing House, Bodin Ski House, Garden Guest House and most recently at the Inn itself.

For 100% of our trips, the staff has been friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to correct any situation that might present itself. The rooms have been impeccable, comfortable, and quite. They have even accommodated extra sleeping arrangements when needed.

The new cafe that opened this year is great, and you can now stay on the premises for a great meal.

Bayfield is, for me, the most relaxing escape from a hectic life, and I gladly make the 7 hour drive from Chicago to enjoy kayaking, hiking, camping, or just kicking around the town or islands.

And you can't go wrong with the Bayfield Inn. They take great care of you!!!

Room Tip: If you are staying at the Inn, ask for a Lake Superior view!

I have stayed in Bayfield countless times over the past 20 years and, as usual, this trip did not disappoint. The garden guest house (#4) is a little gem for the price. I had not planned on being up in the area and decided to stay last minute, the Bayfield Inn was more than accommodating and worked with my last minute needs. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was a perfect bargain: full kitchen, comfortable king bed, clean, and a perfect central location to the adorable town.

We have stayed at the Isaac Wing House twice, in two different rooms, and both were wonderful. The price is very good for what you get. And the location is central to everything. Some of the units are pet friendly, which was great for us on our first visit since we needed to bring our dog with us.

Have enjoyed 12 nites over the past 13 months. While the Inn's location is ideal, and the consistent efficiency of staff and facility cleanliness excellent; it is the "culture" that makes this place special. They are friendly and concerned about the comfort of their guests. The registration desk, housekeeping, food and beverage staff---- the culture of accommodation and service is everywhere. Ample free parking, very comfortable room amenities, good food and drink, beautiful views--- just a wonderful place to be a guest!

What a great stay at the Washington Avenue Condos this week! My husband and I, along with our two grown sons, stayed in room #202. The photos online really don't do it justice. Great layout, full size kitchen, and a deck with views of the lake. Plenty of privacy for all of us. Convenient location, within walking distance of everything in town. The first floor also houses a deli, liquor store and spa. Two small things I'd like to mention...between 9AM and 9PM, the music from the downstairs business can be heard in the condo. At first I feared noisy neighbors, with a long night of partying, but the music stopped when the business closed at night. Also, there was never enough hot water to fill the hot tub, so we didn't get to enjoy it. Lots of positives, though, including plenty of board games and DVDs available, along with books to fill any down time. I do recommend picking up any grocery items before you get into town. The small grocery store in town had limited choices, high prices, and warm, brown meat.

We stayed in Condo #204 in these units managed by Bayfield Inn. We were two couples and the place was very roomy. It could handle a couple of more people using the futon in the loft area adjacent to the upstairs bedroom. The downstairs master bedroom is a king and nicely decorated. The upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and is open to the loft area overlooking the living area. They provide a screen to partially close off the area which was quite adequate for our purposes. The kitchen area was well appointed and plenty large and the living/dining area was quite large and easily accommodated six people for a couple of game nights. There is a nice little balcony area which you can see the lake, although just a partial view.
These condos sit atop a little commercial mall, including a liquor store/deli which was very handy. It is right downtown and therefore close to just about everything Bayfield has to offer. It was very quiet and check-in was easy by stopping it at The Bayfield Inn (a couple of blocks away) to pick up the key.
All in all I would recommend these condos if you are looking for a spacious, comfortable base for you Bayfield adventure.

Very clean, quiet, fun, tennis, pool, great restaurant next to marina on the water. The staff at the Bayfield Inn were awesome. While I was making my reservations, which were on a whim, I inquired about the concerts at the Big Top and was told they had tickets at the front desk for me to purchase. To my surprise the tickets were front row so I told them I wanted them for sure and I could add it to my room charge. Everything was perfect! Krissy and Zach you guys Rock! I've also stayed at the Inn hotel during the winter months, the rooms are cozy, clean, a lot of room, and of course the staff and everyone was so nice. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are great! Really not a bad one anywhere. Hope you enjoy it
