“Great place to celebrate an anniversay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

My spouse & I celebrated our 25th anniversary at the Bayfield Inn. The staff had wine & chocolates & congratulations upon our arrival. We enjoyed dining at wonderful restaurants (Ethels & Maggies) within walking distance & returning to a clean, quiet room with lovely linens & bath products. Highly recommended for a romantic couples getaway!

This is a great place to stay with a 'feel young' atmosphere! The incredible view of Lake Superior, the newly re-decorated Inn and the helpful young folks running this place are amazing! We thought customer service was dead and gone. NOT SO! Not at this place!

We stayed in the Crows nest of the Pilot house and had a wonderful experience. The lady at the check in desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was smaller than I expected but it was very comfortable and cozy. The view was gorgeous. The location suited us well as we could walk downtown to eat, shop and board the ferry.

Room Tip: the top floor allows for great views and is very quiet.

We loved everything about out stay at the Bayfield Inn. The staff was extremely helpful and always had time for questions. We loved the little "details", like very soft towels, comfortable furniture, nice shower, and everything was so very clean and fresh. It was very centrally located so we could walk to several places. I would not hesitate to come back again.

Room Tip: Our room was over the parking lot but it was not a problem.

I stayed in the Ships quarters (room Jennie). This is an additional property owned by The Bayfield Inn that they put people in when they are booked out. I was not impressed with the place at all. It was extremely OLD with furniture from the 50's that I would not consider sitting in. It also did not even have a shower in it. It just had a bathtub with a showerhead that you could use. I would recommend upgrading to a normal shower and removing the furniture from the place and starting over. The whole place felt dirty inside and also there were flies landing on me in the middle of the night. For $192 for the room this was EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. I have stayed at nicer hostels before. I would have said something to the lady at the front desk if she had asked how my stay was when I was checking out, but I guess she was not concerned with how my stay was. I definitely did not feel "AT HOME" away from home.

Everything was great, starting with the reservation clerks. Very clean room overlooking the lake with nice decor. Parking was easy and close, and the continental breakfast was very good. The location was convenient to shops and restaurants as well as the ferry to Madeline Island. Would definitely stay here again.

It was so time for my wife and I to get away for a long weekend and The Bayfield Inn so added to our great Bayfield experience. They have a most accomodating staff and the Inn and rooms are well maintained and clean.

We were on the street view side of the Inn and did not care given the fact they have a phenomenal deck. The overal experience in Bayfield and The Bayfield Inn was just great and we are so looking forward to our repeat.

Room Tip: 2nd floor street view or lake view and up one flight of stairs to their great deck
