We had a wonderful dinner at Maggies on the Monday after the Applefest weekend. We were surprised at how crowded the restaurant was on a weeknight off season. It must speak to the quality of the food. I ordered a bleu cheese/cajun chicken salad. It was full of delicious bleu cheese crumbles and had seasoned, moist, slices of chicken on top. At many other restaurants these salads come with a few pieces of chicken and just a tad of cheese...not at Maggies!!! My husband ordered the Southern Sandwich which had Portugese sausage, cole slaw, and grilled veggies. He added sweet potato fries on the side. His meal was delicious as well. I have to say, the service was slow. Our waitress was friendly but not very attentive. Maybe they didn't anticipate the crowd they had that night. We will definitely keep Maggies on our "must visit" list for Bayfield. We will keep in mind that our time there will be at a relaxed pace and will arrive early if we want to be seated right away.
