When my husband and I recently visited Bayfield, we had dinner at Ethel's the last evening of our stay. What a wonderful experience! First the restaurant itself is beautiful, from the wooden floors to the paneling, to the lighting, everything is done well! We were greeted immediately and seated. My husband asked about a red wine and was very happy with the cabernet suggested. I had the small plate of spaghetti and meatballs and my husband had a sausage pasta. It was all excellent! We both cleaned our plates. But more importantly we observed how the staff treated some Asian customers who walked in and sat down and then had a bit of trouble with the menu. The staff greeted them and explained the menu, even sitting at the table next to them to answer questions. They also brought out samples of beverages so they could make a choice. We thought this really expressed the kind of place Ethel's at 250 is: warm, friendly and delicious!
