Description: Welcome to our little place at the Lake! Whether you're an angler plying the waters of Amistad, a recreational guest of our hotel, or perhaps a "lake-local" resident from the surrounding area, or Del Rio.... Belinda and I are glad you came! We wanted to provide for you (and ourselves) a relaxed place to discover great food and enjoy the best view of any restaurant/bar within 100 miles. Belinda and I are committed to an ever changing fun and creative menu with unique weekly "off-menu" specials conceptualized by our kitchen staff as well as customer suggestions. We hope you enjoy your time at ICON Bar and Grill and look forward to meeting you there. - Byron Velvick and Belinda Juarez, Owners

“They Should Change the Name to Manana”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

It took almost two hours to receive the last of our food which was served in two shifts. Those who received their food late, did so after the others had finished eating. Two in our party ordered baked potatoes which were served wrapped in foil - both the foil and the potato were colder than room temperature. In fact much of our food was cold. The server stated that the fish of the day was one kind that we had never heard of, so I went to the manager who had to go to the kitchen. He reported that it was another fish that we had never heard of. Had to go to the bar for another wine, because we could not find our server. Had it not been a graduation celebration, I would have walked out long before our food came.
