“ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. ROADS ARE ROUGH!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014

We drove up here at dusk and watched the lights come on on the island. The road becomes rougher and rougher as you near the parking area at the top. There was a cool wind, which felt great after the hot day.

“Few overlooking views in the whole world are any more impressive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

The view from the top of Mt Tapachao is in the Pacific Island sense just as impressive as a view from one of many Alpine sites in the European Alps are in the Alpine sense..

The problem is that the road up to the top of Topachao is very poor and one should not attempt it without a Four Wheel Drive Vehicle.

There are plans underway being led by a long time resident of Saipan who is from the Italian Alps to build a cable car that will take visitors from the Middle Road area of Saipan to the top of Topachao. Let's all hope these plans are soon brought to fruition.

“Mt. Tapochao”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

This is the highest point on the island with spectacular views. The road up there is terrible - many rocks and pot holes.

“Great views!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2014

The view was worth the bumpy drive to the top. Our little rental car made it just fine - but it was definitely rocky and I wouldn't want to attempt the same drive in the rain or just after a rain because the road is a bit crazy.

“Incredible view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014 via mobile

The road to the top of Mount Tapochao is rather treacherous...take a four-wheel drive vehicle, but it is well worth it! The view from the top is amazing. You have a panoramic view of the entire island as well as views of Tinian and Goat Islands in the distance.
