Excellent localization, but it is oldfashion, durty, lobby and breakfast is poor. Room was so so.

Loud street, smelled like urine in the room, lumpy beds, holes in wall, uncomfortable all the way around. Checked out in one hour and changed hotels. Window was unlocked, so safety hazard too! Whole family disgusted. Demanded a refund and manager Jay said he couldn't do it, booking.com website had to. I called them and they said he had to. Booking.com was great, Jay made me work for that refund.

This small motel is located within a couple of blocks of Fisherman's Wharf and a 10 to 15 min. walk to Pier 33 for the boats to Alcatraz. The rooms look as if they have been recently decorated. Very clean. Older motel, and the screened windows opened. No AC rattling all night, so this was a real plus. Ask for a room in the corner, at the back. This motel is located at a very busy intersection, but the noise of traffic does dim at night. The motel charges $20 per day for parking. The continental breakfast was just that....prepackaged buns, Sunny Delight and coffee, served at 7:30 am, which is late for us. We went to the 24 hr. Denny's in the Holiday Inn Express, down the street & around the corner, for a more substantial breakfast. Compared to the other high end hotels in the area, the Travelodge FW is a great bargain and I would book it again.

Room Tip: At the back of the motel, in the corner, away from the noisy intersection.

This hotel was very conveniently located for all the stops we wanted to see while in San Francisco. Once you pay for parking there is a guaranteed spot for your stay. We left the car at the hotel mostly and took public transportation. Just a short walk to the cable car. Rooms were clean and had been recently upgraded. We were in the room above the office and there were a few times where there were odd cooking smells at strange hours, but aside from that, this hotel was just perfect for us.

We stayed here 2 nights this past weekend and you can't beat the value. The Travelodge is older but the rooms had newer amenities and were very clean. The rooms are small but if you're not spending a lot of time in your room, that's hardly an issue. My only complaint was lack of hot water. Most of the times the water was warm at best but the last morning it was definitely chilly. Other than that, our stay was very pleasant. It is within easy walking distance to the wharf and not far from the street car. I would definitely stay here again.
