“Great Mellow Neighborhood Spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2011

When I am meeting friends in Cow Hollow, I will always suggest Ottimista. It's comfortable, casual and has great service. You are never rushed through a meal or a drink and the waiters and bartenders are great with wine advice. There's a really nice outdoor heated area in front where you can people watch and sit with your well-behaved dog. It's a nice, fun place.

“Nice Wine, Pizza and Patio”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2011

Went to Ottimista with friends...Centrally located and has a nice patio to enjoy a weekend evening. They have pretty decent wine selection which helped a lot to get a nice buzz.
After drinks we ordered one of their pizza's (the sausage and cheery tomato). I have to admit, really tasty. Thin crust and delicious. Only thing is: it is as small as a coffee plate for which you pay $13-14...It is delicious but so small. We had to order another one. Good strategy to get more from your existing resources! Overall my experience was good! Enjoy!

“Lost our business!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2010

Couldn't get in the door due to wine tasting on the patio - cold night, so the entrance was blocked and restaurant staff non existent as we tried to find our way in! Was looking forward to the experience described in the tour books but that was impossible!

“Perfect Thursday night spot or great wine and cheese plate + neighborhood ambience for visitors!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2010

I love Ottimista and my friends and I have been going here for years. It's won the Best of the Bay Award for 2 years in a row which I'm not surprised at all about. It's consistently a good no frills meal. I just blogged a little about it and my other favorite spot Kokkari at http://thetastysidetolife.blogspot.com/. I also included a crepe recipe!

At Ottimista you should def sit outside under the heated patio, bring your dog and snack on the Artisan
cheese
 plate
 with
 seasonal
accompaniments
and

 toasted
walnut
levain which is soo yummy and pairs perfectly with a glass of Prosecco! Yumm a few cheeses some honey and grapes is just perfect. If you're hungry try the Organic
Little
 Gem
 Caesar
salad
 with
 lemon‐anchovy
dressing,
 reggiano
and
 house
made
 croutons
or one of the Pizza's of the day like Organic
 mushrooms,
 asparagus,
 and

 basil
 pesto
 or the Fresh
 Pappardelle
with
 braised
lamb,
red
 wine
 and
Rosemary
. The seating inside is very comfortable and the long wood bar
is also a nice little social place to sit and have a glass of vino before a night out or even for a small office happy hour.

Enjoy!!
