“One of the best sandwiches out there”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

Went for lunch because of great reviews on trip advisor. What a terrific Italian deli! When you go in there is a bin with different types of bread-pick the one you want. When your number is called, you tell the friendly man behind the counter what kind of sandwich you would like. The fresh mozzarella and prosciutto-delicious. There are other things you can buy like salads and home made pastas etc. No seating inside, a few tables outside so more or less just a take out place. If you like italian sandwiches, you won't find better!

“Prosciutto sandwich just like the ones in Italy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

Being an Italian-American, and from NJ no less, I know my prosciutto. My cousins in Italy had a whole prosciutto course at their wedding, for goodness sake! If you are in San Francisco, you must make a trip to North Beach to get the prosciutto sandwich at Molinari. The fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers and the bread - oh the bread. I am getting hungry just thinking about it. As a bonus, you can take your goodies across the street to Washington Square and sit in the park and enjoy. Definitely lives up to its reputation. Mangia!

“Made it to my top 3 sandwiches ever.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2012 via mobile

From the fact that you pick your own bread out of a bucket to the pork flavoured decor, this place shouts real Italian and real food. The sandwiches are really well priced (not to mention massive and delicious) and the service equally as high quality. Just across the road from
Washington square so ideal for a picnic lunch. Good atmosphere, good food. Would recommend!

“Fabulous Italian deli”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2012 via mobile

Thank you Trip advisor. We found this deli based on reviews so we decided to give it a try. It was a great lunch for a family of four. There is no place to eat inside and only a few tables on the sidewalk, so you may have to wait to sit down. Be sure to grab your bread before ordering. Then order and enjoy. The sandwiches had generous amount of meat. Two teenage boys were full after eating here. Definite a great alternative to chain restaurants.

“A family thing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2012 via mobile

Stopped day 1 and got the Mi Sri combo full of meat and cheese on a fresh crusty Italian bread. The sauce is mustardy with perroncini and it is huge! Ate 1/2 for lunch and decided to skip diner.

Day 2
Hit the sausage, peppers and onion sandwich another great choice but my husband goes for the baseball size meatball sandwich!
Definitely worth the trip to North Beach located at Columbus and Vallejo.

Now if only they sold a nice cold beer to go!

Great cheeses, meats, pasta choices
Mangia!
