Staff very good and recommendations and assistance freely given. All of them were friendly and helpful.
The only advice I would not take is the offer of the airport shuttle service, we got a taxi there and the staff booked a shuttle to take us back to the airport. It was cheaper than the taxi but he was late and we weren't told he would be picking up other people so we were really cutting it fine getting to the airport which was very stressful! The driver couldn't have cared less and kept saying we would be fine. When we got to the airport finally, we ran from floor to floor to check in and then made it through customs with just a few minutes to catch our breath, not ideal.

During our stay the rooms were fine and bed comfy, but were really noisy with people slamming doors at all hours.

Location was good for eating out and when you work out the bus service great for getting all places. Lovely park at the back of the hotel for reading and relaxing.

We needed an inexpensive (by SFO standards at least) hotel that was in a safe area and close to USF. I was traveling with my older parents. With a Travelodge you never know what to expect, but this place was a pleasant surprise. Our first room didn't have a working A/C so they quickly moved us. The rooms are small, but they were clean and the beds were comfortable. Ours had a small fridge. There are cheerful flower boxes with geraniums out front and the grounds are also very clean. The location is great; the Presidio is less than a block away, the Palace of Fine Arts is about 3 blocks away and the shops and restaurants of Chestnut Street are also within easy walking distance as well as the waterfront by the Marina and Crissy Field. It's a great place to explore some of the other less popular parts of SFO with easy access to public transportation. The parking lot is small, but you're better off without a car in the city anyway. I've been a travel agent for many, many years and would easily recommend this hotel to others. My brother and his wife stayed in another much more expensive hotel and our room was just as nice so I was very happy we stayed where we did and didn't spend the extra $$. The only negative I would say is the continental breakfast is pretty sparse, but there is an awesome bakery (Chestnut Street Bakery) 3 blocks away which we walked to each morning. There is also a small business center where you can print boarding passes (for those who don't use your smartphone to check in). The staff is all great; very friendly and helpful with directions and other tips. If I ever came back to SFO I would gladly stay here again.

The staff in this hotel is fantastic. They gave us most valuable tips and helped us with their knowledge. THe staff saves this hotel from being rated more poor.
The hotel had been chosen after a long search in the Internet and on Trip Advisor. But unfortunately out of all our hotels during the road trip through South West USA this place had the least value for the money.
This place is acceptable as a 50-70 Dollar motel. But the +160 Dollars which they charge and indeed get (they are outbooked) are way overcharged. The reason might be the area in town, but you still need public transport if you want to get to fisherman's warf etc.
Try to stay away from the rooms at the edge (f.e. 105) as these rooms are sold as "double" but can hardly be named "room" as they have only a small window on the far back side and are otherweise without a window.
We will come back to San Francisco but then definately try another place for a better ratio value-price,
The private parking hold only about 14 cars.... all other late commers must leave the car on the road (safe area). The breakfast cannot be called as breakfast even for continental standards..
This hotel is our disappointment of the whole trip to the US.
The staff was the positive surprise and most friendly on our whole trip to the US.

Room Tip: Do not choose any room on the edge s.a. 205 etc. These rooms are not to be acceptable as double room...
