A great return visit to the Warwick. The rooms are small but quaint. Clean. Great service from all staff members. Location is perfect! And in comparing nearby hotels very affordable rates. It's a busy City at night so recommend asking for a room on a high floor.

Hi im back! So after reviewing several hotels in SFO we decided to stay at the warwick. For several reasons. Firstly it's located a block away from Union Square and waking distance to almost every tourist attraction in SFO. We had booked a double queen bed which is comfortable for two adults and two children.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. Warwick has a very nice restaurant - Aveline and a bar. It's located on Geary street which has several restaurants from Thai to Japanese and even a great Mexican restaurant - Calibri. There's also a Starbucks right below the hotel which is most convenient.

If you are driving, there's a car park right behind the hotel which charges $32 for 24 hours and convenient as well as cheaper than the hotel.

One must try the rooftop Cheesecake Factory located above Macys right opposite Union Square. The cable tram rides are also located a block away from the hotel and take you to the Pier and fisherman's wharf. We did the Alcatraz tour and the boat ride under the golden gate Bridge which was beautiful and a must do.

An overall well packaged hotel. I would definitely stay there again !

We stayed here in a weekend trip to SF we had a winderful time in the city. The staff was wonderful. We had drinks the first night ariving to the hotel. Shirley was the bartender and made wonderful drinks. The next morning we had breakfast in the restaurant which I would pass on in the furter. The food was good but we were the only table and it took forever to recieve food. Overall the room was comfortable the staff was super helpful in our day to day planing. The room was cute room that was had a wonderful refurbished feel with a little old. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet considering there was a busy street below. Really enjoyed and would revisit again.

Joe G – thank you for taking the time to give us feedback!

I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay and our staff was welcoming and accommodating, as I think they are also. We will make sure to work on those areas of concern for the next visit – business or pleasure – so that it can be more enjoyable the next time.

We stayed in room 804 which was fine, but tiny. I should have stuck with the suite I originality booked online. it is loud and a little bit smelly, but I think that's San Fran in general. We didn't stay in our room that much. The bed is uncomfortable. Good walking distance to shopping and trolley to the warf.

Room Tip: High Floor

Thank you Dara K for the review – it is good to know where we can improve upon. I was sad to read that you found our beds uncomfortable as we just recently replaced them all. We want to make sure that your next experience is better than ‘Just Ok’ so please feel free to contact either myself or my Director of Operations at the hotel directly.

We do look forward to seeing you again soon.

You can't beat location as all other reviewers mention. Rooms are a good size and my room faced Geary Street but the double glazing on the windows worked incredibly well. If you are parking you don't need valet - around the corner is self parking for $18 a day if you show your hotel receipt. The Daily Grill just down Geary is great for casual dining and try Boulangere for breakfast. Booking.com had a terrific deal for a one night stay at this hotel which made value for money outstanding. Would stay again.

We had the suite for 3 nights and enjoed it very much. The room was clean and the crew of the hotel were really nice and helpful and gave us lots of tips about the city. The location is very good, in the center of the town/Union Sq., and it's also easy to get from there to the Fisherwmans Wharf and most of the attractions of the city (and SF tm airport) by public transport. There are also few car agencies around so it's easy to rent a car.

Cute room, and cute 4 poster bed, BUT that's it.

This was the absolute worst and loudest bed I've ever slept in in my life of travels around the world of 25 countries (luxury to basic). Don't book room #804!!!

The bed felt comfortable to sit on, but with any slight move while trying to sleep, it creaked so loudly and shook (no there was no earthquake) it kept both myself and my husband up!

As far as earplugs, the hotel is on a sleazy street with way too many homeless and loud characters.

I heard them through my earplugs, and heard the bed speaking through my earplugs too.

Horrible sleep. Thank god it was for only one night, or we would have changed rooms or even checked out.

We do NOT recommend staying here.

Dear ParkSlopeLocal,
Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback – we can’t fix things unless we are aware, so thank you for that.

As we are a boutique hotel, we find that all of our rooms offer something different to our guests; I was sad to read that you didn’t enjoy your stay as much as you could have during your most recent visit. We are taking proper measures to look / fix the issue you brought up, so that they do not occur again.

San Francisco is a colorful city full of characters from of all walks of life, it is not one of danger but rather as you stated one of homelessness – it is a San Francisco problem and I assure you we (as a city) do a lot for all of our people. You have my sincerest apologies if this hindered your trip with us – as we do our best to ensure that all of our guests get to relax and enjoy their stay at our lovely hotel.

I would encourage you to come back for another visit, please contact me directly so that we can ensure that you have a great visit, with a great night’s sleep.

Again, my sincerest apologies.

In Hospitality,
Tyler Smittle
