The Inn is centrally located within the very active union square location. The location is a dream for the keen shoppers! Easy walk to the bart station for those using the bart from the airport and the cable car runs literally 50m away with an easy walk to the first / last stop on powell.

Special mention to Wayne the house keeper who is very welcoming and the nightly wine and cheese hour is an additional treat!

Staff are very friendly and super helpful.

Site manger was kind enough to work me down to the bart station when i had done a little too much shopping and had one too many bags.

Highly recommended and family friend place.

Will return one day and have started advising all family and friends to stay here!

My wife recently stayed here while celebrating our 25th anniversary and could not have been happier with our choice. They were gracious enough to provide us with a bottle of champagne and chocolates to help celebrate. The entire staff (especially Ken) were terrific and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast and wine tasting were a wonderful touch. The room was neat and clean. Much more personal attention than staying at something sterile and unfriendly like one of the major chains. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay and we hope to visit again in the future.

Small but enjoyable hotel providing great value. Location so close to Union Square was great. Accommodation was clean with well appointed rooms. Loved the wine and cheese touch late in the afternoons. Would definitely come again.

My husband and I had stayed here a couple of years ago and loved it, so it was my first choice for this trip. I stayed here for 6 nights while attending a conference at the Moscone convention centre and was looked after so well. The staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful, and came up with good restaurant suggestions nearby to suit the various occasions. I managed to get to a couple of the cheese and wine gatherings in the evenings before the conference really kicked in and enjoyed the chance to chat to a range of interesting people, which seems to be a feature of this hotel. Having continental breakfast available from 7 was great on mornings with an early dash to the conference - it was about a 15 minute walk from the hotel to the conference centre.

My room was great. Quiet is much more important to me than a view for a trip like this, and it was amazing how quiet the room was when just outside the front of the hotel was the hubbub of Union Square. The beds are also extremely comfortable.

I now feel this is my home away from home in San Francisco, and could not imagine going anywhere else. I'm sure I'll be back.
