This hotel is so luxurious and relaxing. I absolutely loved my stay there. They made sure we had everything we needed. And, it was so decked out for the holidays - it was lovely. If you do stay in the Tower (recommended), there is a lot of walking you have to do to get from those elevators to the main front entrance. But, we were staying there during a rainstorm so the hotel was like our own city. It's huge. The beds were great, the bathrooms were fabulous, the shower was great, the view was tremendous!
My only complaint would be the staff at the Tonga Room/Hurricane Bar, notably, the Host there (Paul or John - something like that; he was a middle-aged Asian man). We wanted to have an early cocktail at the Tonga Room / Hurricane Bar and he (the host) was very rude to us. We got there a tad b/f it opened and were ignored for about 10 mins until we tried to walk in. Then, he yelled at us saying "we don't open until 5" and turned his back on us. Then, we came back about 6:30 and wanted to still check out the bar so we returned. Note: We are Fairmont Presidents' Club Members - who had a separate line to stand in - and they made us stand in the public line waiting for over 45 minutes just to sit down a get a cocktail. We left after waiting in line (with non-hotel stayers) for over 45 minutes. Here's the dinger: they had 1/2 of the restaurant blocked off that they weren't even using?!!! But, they made us wait! It was ridiculous! Oh well - they didn't get our business and definitely won't in the future because of their rude behavior.
My only other complaint would be that the hotel didn't offer free internet in the business center - like other hotels in its class.
Other than those two, it was fabulous. The spa was AMAZING - best massage I've ever had - EVER!
