“Good location in touristy area of the city”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our road trip round Northern California. When we arrived at Pier 2620 we were welcomed by the staff at reception who upgraded us to a bigger room which we thought was brilliant having been awake for 25 hours by that point! The downstairs of the hotel has been nicely renovated with a great courtyard in the middle, however this has not been extended to the bedrooms or the corridors of the hotel which have obviously been left from its time as a Hilton so its starting to look a bit shabby in comparison. Our room was very comfortable however having been upgraded we had a huge room but there was a lot of empty space which seemed odd!

On our first trip out to get some food the concierge was very helpful in providing us with a map of the area and some suggestions of where to eat. We slept well because we were exhausted however were woken very early by the street cleaners and general traffic noise (a lot of coaches to near by hotels) which was a down point for its location as it meant we had very bad nights sleep from then on.

Overall great position in a touristy area, although provides great access to rest of city, great service and cleanliness, however needs updating throughout the rooms and breakfast is very steep at $20 a head - we avoided this and went elsewhere!

Room Tip: Choose a courtyard room to keep away from the noise as much as possible

Stayed here for the last 3 days of our west coast road trip. Right in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf ...... good size king, with comfy bed, good wifi access, and secure underground parking - although fairly expensive at $40 a night. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our West Coast experience. Ticked all the boxes, comfortable, welcoming, clean, nice breakfast. Staff were informal but highly professional. Would definitely stay here again when (if) back in SFO.

Terrific location by Fisherman's Wharf, large comfortable Suites, blissful beds, clean and fresh! Couple that with the exemplary Staff and their willingness to assist with everything that they can, and then more. What you end up with is a worry free holiday. Kudos to all of the hard working staff at Pier 2620 Hotel Fisherman's Wharf!

We booked this hotel through Hotwire, got a good rate, and had a great experience. We were traveling to SF for the weekend to see a concert and be "tourists". The location is amazing, walking distance to tourist locale Fisherman's Wharf, and easily accessible for buses and trolleys to get all over the city. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful when we had questions. Rooms were modern and updated, beds were very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the area.

Our room was facing the street (as many of the rooms are), and my husband was woken up several times the first morning to the sound of buses. Being in such a big tourist area the tour buses were coming down the street starting early in the morning and going all day. I always take earplugs and didn't hear a thing, and the second morning he turned the fan up on the AC to drown out the noise. If you're sensitive to noises like that and might wake up, request a room that faces the pool/middle of the block instead of a street-facing room.

Room Tip: Request a room on the hotel interior (rather than street-facing room) if you want a quieter stay.

Great place to stay, friendly staff, clean tidy and spacious rooms, very quiet. Short stroll to Fishermans Wharf. Would stay again for sure. Was only in San Fran for two nights, so was easy to get to Alcatraz and Golden gate bridge

My partner and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights at the start of our San Francisco to LA road Trip and we could not have been happier arriving at the hotel after a long flight. The Hotel was clean and bright, staff were very welcoming and the room was just the ticket... modern, clean, fresh, spacious with large TV, Charging points for mobile devices, Fridge, Iron and Board, Safe, Free Wifi and the bed was enormous and more importantly extremely comfortable.

We didn't eat int eh Hotel restaurant or Bar area but walk past it numerous time and found it to be very clean and welcoming - prices appeared to be very reasonable too. The lobby was spacious and there was a seating area for guests along with an additional area offering plenty of leaflets on places to visit during your stay - I think i also saw a rep helping people out with booking excursions in the hotel too - whether this was Staff or an external holiday rep i couldnt be sure.

In addition to the free Wifi offered throughout the hotel (Yes, I did say FREE), Pier 2620 also has 2 computers in the lobby (1 Apple Mac and 1 Windows based) which gives 30 minutes internet access free plus access to a printer - this was ideal for us as it enabled us to order and print tickets for Alcatraz and Universal Studios (where we were visiting later on our holiday).

We found the location of the Hotel was ideal for everything: its a 5 minute walk from Fishermans Wharf ( Souvenir Shops/ Seafood Restaurants / Breakfast Diners), 10 minute walk to Pier 39 where there is a larger selection of shops and restaurants, Ice creams etc. A 20-25 minute walk in the opposite direction will take you to the main shopping centre of San Fran where you will also find China-Town and mainstream stores like Apple, Disney, Nike etc.

There isn't one thing i could say which was negative about Pier 2620 - It was the best hotel we stayed in out of the 4 hotels we used during our 10 day holiday; If we revisit San Francisco, this is the definitely the Hotel i would chose to stay in... I couldn't recommend it enough.

Room Tip: We were given a corner room which happened to also be a room for Disabled access. It was huge. Havin...
