“Very good Fisherman's Wharf area hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

This hotel is located a few blocks from the famous Fisherman's Wharf area. The hotel is an older property with a New York feel to it. Old school high level service from all of the staff. they really were good people to work with. The rooms are nice and the TV's are HUGE. I don't think we ever turned it on but a 60" TV in a hotel room? Wow. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean and came with a mini fridge and microwave. Incredible location and great amenities.

This is a decent 3 star hotel in an area surrounded by similar types of hotels. It is very clean, convenient, and a solid choice. It might be a bit less expensive than surrounding hotels, but many of the other choices properties belonging to large chains (Marriott, Hyatt, Holiday Inn, Best Western) so if you have membership in any of their loyalty programs, you are probably better off taking advantage of that.

The hotel itself is just 4 stories with rooms on the three upper floors. The rooms are somewhat larger than similar hotels but with the typical furnishings. The beds are comfortable, the linens are good quality, and the bath towels are exceptionally large. The shampoo and conditioner are in large dispensers in the shower so no tiny bottles to struggle with. The brand is Bee Kind, so decent quality. The wi-fi is free, but very slow. My only real complaint about the room was the extremely noisy fan.

They do have nicely done fitness center. It got busy around 8:00am but was quiet the rest of the day. The cardio machines all have individual tv monitors but there is a poor selection of channels relative to the choices in the room. There are also free weights, medicine balls, and yoga mats. Towels, water and headphones are provided.

There is a snack shop in the lobby and a restaurant. I would strongly recommend going outside the hotel for any purchases, there is a Walgreens just across the street, a Starbucks a block away, and a fantastic breakfast place Hollywood Café around the corner. The fruit plates there feed two or more. The breakfast at the hotel is mediocre and not worth the money. There is a bike shop for rentals and bike tours a block away and a Safeway grocery store and Trader Joe’s two blocks from the hotel.

The front desk people were not especially pleasant or helpful, but the concierge was very nice and patient. Overall, it is a decent choice. The rooms remind me very much of a Residence Inn with the ubiquitous rather bright green carpet with yellow dots, dark wood furniture, and granite counters in the bathroom. Compare rates with the large number of neighboring hotels.

I recently stayed here for two nights and highly recommend it mainly due to location. It is within a few block's walk of Fishermans Wharf, North Beach, The Embarcadero etc., clean rooms, decent breakfast, no lunch or dinner, but a hefty $50 per night parking fed.

Loved it here! The hotel lobby smelled amazing, all the staff was nice & friendly, concierge was extremely helpful, and the hotel bar had the best bartender (Stoyan). I would highly recommend this hotel with a great location to anyone visiting SF.

Pier 2620 is an excellent hotel, lovely staff. We stayed 2 nights in July 2014. Great location, affordable price. Easy walk to Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz Pier, 'The World's Crookedest Street' the cable car.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking a courtyard. Not on the street side.

booked this hotel online after reading reviews on trip advosir and doing my own research after that. Stayed with my family for 3 night in July 2014 and it was a fantastic stay> from the time we checked in the service was impeccable. Staff were very helpful with all of our needs. The room had 2 queen beds and was very clean and spacious. The hotel itself is in a great location and value for money in the area was fabulous. Most other hotels i looked at were more money and didn't have as good reviews as this one did. it was so central to everything we wanted to do> would stay there again in a heart beat.

Room Tip: We had a room with two queen beds, it had plenty of room for us to still have our suitcases, the bat...

We got a room last minute with little research based on it being one of the most affordable in the area ($266 total for one king bed room including fees/taxes) and it turned out to be absolutely perfect! The hotel was an extremely close walk to the Fisherman's Wharf, had a super cute, modern entry and lobby, and a nice little bar. The elevators have security - you have to use your key card to access it, and our room was amazing! Even better, when we checked in (way late due to a delayed flight), they upgraded us for no reason to a suite room at no additional cost! The staff was great and the suite was so perfect! It had a mini fridge, a nice little countertop and kitchen table, with a nice living room area that had a huge, fancy 50" flat screen TV. In the connecting bedroom, there was an extremely comfortable king size bed and another 50" flat screen - even a sitting area. The bathroom was large, a shower with nice water pressure and a vanity area with a sink outside the bathroom, which I love because I don't have to get ready in a steamy hot room or while my boyfriend is showering. The staff even let us check out late (1pm) for no additional charge or any hassle whatsoever!

Highly recommended and I'd definitely stay there again!

Room Tip: We got a suite - room 110 and it was absolutely amazing!
