We were existed to be going to a Hilton hotel. We’ve stayed in various hotels but never a Hilton.

We must have built it up in our mind – this was a pretty much a nondescript unmemorable hotel.

We had a nice big room spoilt by being situated near a car park entrance.

On a positive note, the hotel is located near to the Wharf and the cable cars, so not all negative.

Great Staff and Great Hotel. Very Clean and close to everything in San Fran. Room Service was on time and the food was very good. This Hotel is well managed and the staff really care. The Hotel is close to all Fisherman's Wharf and close to other areas of San Francisco.

Got breakfast vouchers but had to ask for them. Colleagues and I made the same reservations with the same travel agent and same price of $349 yet I was told my reservation did not include the breakfast vouchers. Breakfast staff was great! Very friendly and willing to assist with made to order eggs, etc. Breakfast buffet had a good selection.

The exercise room was small and 2 of the treadmills were not working. However they were repaired by the following day which was great. The guest rooms were average. Gave me a sense that a remodel is needed soon. Not bad but not great either just average.

It was walking distance from a lot in that area. Good restaurants!

My first night was terrible due to loud guests above me. The front desk staff did accommodate my request to move rooms but were not very kind about it. The rest of my stay was quiet in my new room. When I asked for a half price credit for the first sleepless night, I was told the manager would have to make that decision and would call me back. Giselle did call but I was in flight. I returned her call and had to leave a detailed message about my request and why. Had to call her direct line a few times without success. Finally called the main line and asked for a manager. Tobby wanted me to take it up with Giselle but I wanted this resolved. He did reluctantly give me a $200 credit, as if I was being unreasonable. I realize it was not their fault but I did not think I should pay full price of $349 for a sleepless night.

We stayed here for 5 nights as part of our Honeymoon in Sept 2012. The hotel is in a superb location, close to the attractions of the Wharf and a short bus ride into the centre of San Fran. The City Sightseeing office is really close too and all the tours end there, so we got a 3 day ticket and used the tour bus as public transport taking us all over the city. I can not comment on the food in the hotel as we did not eat in once, mainly as there are so many choices on the Wharf. The room was of decent size, clean and tidy, but with many Hilton`s throughout the world, it looks very dated and in need of a revamp. The bathroom has a very small bath, so being 6ft4ins I could only shower (why do hotels insist on such tiny baths!!). All in all we were happy with the stay but feel that it was slightly overpriced.
