“OK for location only.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

This is my 2nd stay here and the only reason I went back was because our wholesalers told us that they had reno's done recently. I loved the location so thought I would give it another go. The staff were fantastic at reception but that and the location is all it has going for it. It had a "dirty' feel to the carpets and the rooms. If this place has had renovations done in the last 3 years since I was there I don't know what it could of been - maybe a new couch in the lobby! The hallways feel old and dirty and the rooms very dated and basic and the bathrooms in need of work. The beds were extremely uncomfortable - even though they say they have the remote control dual control beds - they didn't work and they felt like they were sloping. There were 5 of us travelling and we all had the same issue. I don't think it is worth the cost as there are other options such as Holiday Inn across the road which are cleaner and have bigger rooms and nicer bathrooms ( I went over and asked to see their rooms because that is where I originally planned on staying). It is also basic but bigger, cleaner and better bathrooms with wider corridors and the carpet at least felt clean.

Stayed at Radisson 4 nights early February 2014. Our choice was due to my inability to walk hills having broken both legs in December so needed accommodation in San Francisco on flat ground. The hotel was recently renovated so the rooms & furnishings were new. The bathroom had a shower over the tub which was impossible for me to use (no grab rail nor pull-out washing line) but the wash basin was adequate for sponge bathing. There was an IHOP restaurant in the same block with a discount deal for Radisson guests, a 7 Eleven shop around the corner, local tour operator next door, F-tram stop across the road and only a block to walk to Pier 39 etc. One problem was no room fridge but as we were there in winter, we survived. Summer might be a drag. The hotel's Business Centre had a fee for use, the morning coffee & muffins in the lobby also had a charge. For the price we paid, I think these extra services could have been provided for free.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on 4th Floor & you might get a view. Rooms at the back overlook the car park but...

Went on line. Found this hotel as we were traveling from Texas and had exchange students from Italy & Spain and wanted the accessibility , views, sounds of local talent ,music wise as well as native seals to lull you to sleep as well as start your day and atmosphere for a great San Francisco trip. You need to spend the extra $ and get " business" class room ( extra $39/day) as there are 6 rooms that face the bay and local talent as well as Alcatraz and several restaurants on the boardwalk. Caught trolley a couple blocks away. Good " Johnny rocket" restaurant that is within the hotel area for breakfast or radisson also has for $ coffees and pastry in lobby. Rooms are boutique with small bathroom but all you need during your stay. Had microwave and fridge in room as well as safe for valuables. Ck in staff were wonderful, helpful, and happy with their jobs. Pool is heated as well as small gym on premises . Definitely a gem in this large city!!!!!

Room Tip: As noted above. Go business room for awesome views and large balcony

Stayed here in October 2013.
Excellent location to visit all the sights San Francisco has to offer as well as the tour offices which organise and supply tickets for excursions and attractions.
The room was clean, light and airy with very good bathroom facilities. The large double bed was comfortable and softness/hardness of mattress was adjustable to meet all needs. Sheets were clean with a mattress protector.
Reception staff were very helpful, efficient and were able to answer all my enquiries.
The pool looked inviting although we didn't use it.
Snacks and breakfast breads are available at reception but a bit pricey....we ate breakfast in the adjacent 'Johnny Rockets' before heading out for the day and found this to be very good with great choice of menu and excellent service. We loved the vibe of Johnny Rockets.
Our room had a balcony from which we could see bits of San Francisco Bay and in the still of the night, if you listened carefully, you could hear the seals down at pier 39. This would not have kept you awake. We were never disturbed by street noise or any other hoteliers.
If we return to San Francisco, we will definitely be booking in here again.

Room Tip: The weather was warm in October and we enjoyed our little balcony for a bit of outside space.

I stayed here 4 nights and found the staff to be very friendly and service great. I communicated with Stafford before arriving and he was very helpful with advice on tour options and booked one to Yosemite NP before I arrived. Was a great recommendation as I really enjoyed the tour.

The hotel itself is located in easy walking distance from Fishermans Wharf. The room and bathroom clean and tidy. I had expected the standard of the hotel to be higher given it is a Radisson but I realise it wasn't a Radisson Blu (their top tier hotels) once I arrived. It was also disappointing to find they didn't have any restaurant or room service for breakfast etc but there were many options in walking distance.

Room Tip: Check how far your room is from the elevators as some are located a long distance

We have stayed at the Radisson Hotel, Fishermans Wharf twice in recent years and have not encountered any problems. The hotel has been recently been refurbished and the rooms are clean and comfortable.. The Check-in staff were friendly and efficient and we were in our room within ten minutes of our initial arrival in the lobby. The hotel is in an excellent location almost opposite Pier 39 and the wide choice of attractions in the area is very good. There is no restaurant in the hotel but there are so many restaurants and food outlets in very close proximity to the Radisson it didn't bother us in the least. Would we stay there again. Yes, most definitely. The Radisson has to be one of the best located hotels in San Francisco.

Based on the quality standard that the name "Radisson" leads, I found this hotel awful.

The location is excellent, the price is expensive and the rooms are comfortable (as is to be expect for a "Radisson"). However the service is not good. The rooms are not well designed. And mainly, the hotel does not offer breakfast, and parking costs $39 per night. This is ridiculous. The cheapest and simple hotels that I stayed during my trip through California offered breakfast and parking included with no extra charge.
