“So so”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

My husband and I stayed here one night. We chose it for the location which was great. The room was clean, but neither sleep number bed worked. They were as hard as a rock. The redecoration was fine, the rooms smallish, but still comfortable. The people at the front desk were pleasant. However we asked for a view of Alcatraz, and the view we got was over the pool. You had to go out on the balcony and peer way to the right to even see it. Parking was$37.00 for one night. If I stayed here again I would check the bed before settling in and ask to be moved if the bed was broken. However the location was worth the inconveniences.

I liked the location but the rooms seemed dirty and didn't even have a fridge. I felt I overpaid quite a bit for the room they gave us. The interior halls look like you're in a cruise ship - which wasn't very appealing. The walls are so thin you can hear everything going on and I don't think I had a good night's sleep at all whilst I was here.

Go to another hotel and save your money.

GReat start t our fly drive holiday. Really well placed to visit Pier 39 and all the attractions> also really easy to get to cable cars.
Dont order pizza from Ginos which is the menu in the rooms. EXpensive and bland.

Location, Location, Location. My stay at this hotel was fantastic. The location was perfect. The staff was very helpful on requesting places to dine. I highly recommend The Radison Hotel Fishermans Wharf to all.

Room Tip: The views of the bay are incredable

Had a great 5 night stay at beginning of Feb, we arrived late due to having to change flight via LA original Virgin flight being over booked, staff were great and very helpful advising we're to go to eat it being late. The hotel is round the corner from hop on off tour buses, short 15 min walk for Alcatraz ferry, 20 minute walk to little Italy and Chinatown, as well restaurants etc on Fisherman,s Wharf.
Free wifi and a coffee, tea and bagel bar in reception that opens at about 6 am for early risers and for any smokers it's handy for a coffee why having a ciggy outside

We stayed for 3 nights in January booked 2 rooms but they only gave us 1 room. Voucher clearly stated 2 rooms but it was late at night we all tired. Thought would argue about it in morning. But by morning they no longer had voucher so was a lost cause. So 5 people trying to share 2 beds. Location was great but staff need training on checking in.

Just got back from a long weekend in Fisherman's Wharf, so much fun! Before we went, I checked out where to stay, which hotel, prices....checked out tripadvisor....like you. Then, we were talking to my sister-in-law, and they recommended the Radisson. "Why?" I asked. "Location," was the answer. It's right there! The only hotel that does not cost you an arm and a leg to stay at, and it's right there.
After a late arrival, we woke up and changed our $149 king room to a bay view, given to us for an additional $70 per night...worth it! The small balcony has an unobstructed view of the Wharf, Alcatraz and the bay. You can hear the sea lions at night, noisy buggers.
The room is a tad small, but very clean. King bed very comfortable, shower great water pressure. Pool area really nice, outdoor fire and couches. Staff really friendly.

Room Tip: If you need help, ask the concierge, both very helpful. No restaurant or room service, but Johnny...
