“Location is the key”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

It's a stock standard lower-mid range hotel. Room is smallish but ok. And the purpose for staying here is to stay out - so the hotel's less than "wow" is no big deal. My top criteria is cleanliness & this place is tops for that. Plenty of eating places nearby

We stayed for two nights, were were on the first floor, near the lifts. The room was very noisy all night with the lifts, music from the pool outside, and the ice machine. The staff weren't very friendly. However the room was very clean and tidy. Shame there wasn't a bar in the hotel.

Was very close to all the attractions and Pier 39.

I would just like to say the hotel is located well!! but its basic ! the guy on the desk was very friendly who could not have been more helpful' he answered all out questions which made it easy for us. The beds were very comfy which is a bonus.

My only negative comment which I would like to point out is!! when we was ready for the shuttle bus for the airport, the man who was driving the airport shuttle service bus, demanded we tip him 4 dollars each when we got out at the airport and went to pay him, I have no objection's in tipping for a good service but i will not tip if i am being forced to tip consequently we give him half of the demanded tip. So people be aware of this when you pay them!!!

Arrived off our six hour flight from the east coast and all we really wanted to do was sleep so we appreciated the early check-in. However when we got to our room the roof was leaking. We called to the front desk about it, they were going to send someone up. We waited and no one turned up. Called again. Waited again and still no one turned up. Eventually called down and spoke to a manager and someone was up in seconds. I should note the manager was apologetic and did offer to arrange our breakfast for us. We got moved to another room which was great as we could finally sleep. The hotel itself is in a great location. Close to Pier 39 and nearby restaurants. The room was a bit dark with the heavy curtains. The bed, one of those sleep by number bed was a bit tricky to get on the right comfort level. WiFi was excellent, had to contact help desk once but nothing major. Our room faced out onto the road, the noise from the cable cars was loud but you got used and there's not much the hotel can do about that. We tried to book for an additional four nights, in one day we were quote three different rates, we went to the hotel accross the road who offered us a cheaper rate by $40. Radisson were not interested in matching this and lost us to across the road which was sad.

We went here for the first leg (6 days) of our honeymoon, and it was really nice to walk in and be automatically upgraded to one of the few bay view rooms to mark the occasion. They also provided us with sparkling wine on arrival, which was nice.

The carpet was a little damp from the air conditioning unit, which gave the room a slight smell at first, but we decided to wait for a day or so to see if it dried out, which it did. After that there were no problems as all, the staff were friendly and the hotel was nice and clean.

The best thing about this hotel is the back entrance onto the Fishermans Wharf Area, which was literally straight into the hustle and bustle, which was great.

We thought the noise was going to be a problem, but things get quiet past 11:00 p.m. so there is nothing to worry about there.

All in all it made for an enjoyable first leg.

The hotel is situated backing on to fishermans wharf with street access. The front desk staff are a bit surly but get the job done. The rooms are of average standard- clean enough with a nice bathroom. The beds are sleep number beds which are pretty comfy and
A bit of a novelty! I would recommend this hotel for travelers not going to spend
All day in their room. No complimentary wifi which would of been nice

The Radisson is in a great location with fantastic proximity to all that the Fisherman's Wharf area has to offer (close to ferry services, great seafood, near the cable car, plenty of lovely shops) but apart from its location this hotel was disappointing. If you like a good shower don't come near here - the pressure from the showerhead was barely more than a trickle, which was very frustrating especially as we visited during the cold winter! There was also a strange smell to our room and the corridors, and the hotel layout was a bit confusing. The staff were friendly and pleasant but unfortunately it could not make up for the truly atrocious shower and unclean smell of the surroundings.
