“Smallest Room I've Ever Checked Into”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

A mixed experience. It got good enough reviews and the location was perfect and it fit the budget I was working with so I reserved a room for 5 nights. Like I said, a tiny room with a small closet, a single under-bed drawer and an in room sink and a flat screen tv. There was one men's toilet and one woman's toilet to share on the floor. There were two showers to share on the floor and there was 24 rooms on my floor. The toilet and shower rooms are a tight squeeze. I admit to not having to wait on others, but I don't know how full the hotel was. The room was hot, you couldn't control the temperature. Opening the window helped but you get the city noise in, so I closed it at night. In the morning they had muffins and coffee in the lobby. The staff was friendly enough, though I had little interaction with them. The rooms were kept clean.

“Clean rooms, great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

The rooms in the Mosser are very small, but the location more than makes up for the size of the room. The hotel is close to restaurants, bars, shopping and very convenient to get on BART. We had a room with a private bathroom at the end of a hall, so there was no problem with noise. Overall a great place, will use again for travel in SF.

Room Tip: Get a private bathroom

“Good Union Square location but...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

Clean and central with friendly staff but rooms are small, many bathrooms shared and wouldnt recommend it for light sleepers - noisy pipes and adjoining loading bay. and the last guest left the alarm set for 3.30am!

“Good value, great service, hard to sleep as much as I wanted to”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

I'd read all the reviews and they are true, which is fine with me (rooms are small etc). I was in a room opposite a shared bathroom and next door to one of the shared bath/shower rooms, and that was the biggest problem; people using the facilities as late as midnight and as early as 5 AM. I'm not a real light sleeper nor am I a heavy sleeper, but the doors opening and closing and being locked, and the water running in the pipes in the walls, woke me up, probably because it was really very quiet otherwise. The street noise with the double windows closed was negligible. The room was a little warm with the windows closed but was fine. Bed was very comfortable. Wifi was not blazing fast but was acceptable. Nice and helpful staff, good coffee and small muffins in AM.

Room Tip: avoid rooms opposite or adjacent to the shared toilets or bath/showers

“Nice quiet rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

On a recent stay, I enjoyed my 'european room', that is a room with seperate bath facilities. I wasn't sure how this would work out for me, since I generally like an in room bathroom. When i chacked in, the receptionist was very nice. I was given my card key, and when I entered my room, I was quite pleseantly surpriced to find a room that was fully equipped with the latest technology. Hook up for electronice, and flat screen tv, and a nice bed. the room was a nice size, and an interior rooom, which meant that i would have peace and quiet. That is important to me when I want to sleep. The hotel is just around tha corner from Market St., and centrally located to downtoen, so everything is relatively within walking distance. A lot of shopping can be done right around the corner. The Westfield Shoping Center is there, as well as a lot of other places to indulge your retail therapy. I plan of staying there again when i'm back in the City. It's reasonable, and in a good location. I liked it a lot.

Room Tip: I ahd an interior room, which I enjoyed. It was quiet..
