“Very Nice Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2014

I really liked the staff at this hotel. The room was nice. It was what you expect from Marriott. We had updated rooms and bathrooms. There were cookies in the evenings in the lobby. The value for the room was good for the location (which is excellent); however, the garage is one of the most expensive in the wharf. It is $50.00 a night. You can come and go as much as you like, but that is a chunk. So, take that in consideration.

Room Tip: Be aware of the $50 garage fee

Walking distance to Embarcadero, Wharf and all the water front hotspots. Make sure to visit the Exploratorium! Its awesome! Kids and Adults loved it in our group! There is a submarine and ship tour near the Wharf, along with the most unique antique arcade nearby as well

Spent 3 nights at the Marriott Fishermans Wharf. The location is perfect, restaurants, Pier 39 not a far walk. Upgraded our room when I mentioned I was celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. The suite was spacious and very clean. faced the courtyard so it was very quiet. My only complaint was I thought the restaurant in the hotel was pretty pricey. I would recommend this hotel folr the location.

Room Tip: Courtyard rooms are very quiet. If you are celebrating a special occasion be sure tomention it as y...

We were leaving on a cruise and arrived in San Fran a few days early. This was a very good location, close to wonderful restaurants. We bought tickets for the trolley tours and kinda used them as a taxi to visit other parts of town. There are several drug stores, liquor stores nearby. It is a hop, skip and jump to the cruise ship terminal. The lobby is very nice for relaxing or meeting friends. Can walk to many nice restaurants. The staff is very helpful.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. Location is great. Very easy walk to a lot of attractions and restaurants. The hotel itself is nice. Our room was standard size but very clean. The lobby floor has undergone a renovation since my last visit and has a clean contemporary look. There were cookies out at the front desk and refreshing water across from the elevators. The entire staff was very friendly and everyone acknowledged us by saying hello or welcome back. We didn't have a car so parking was not an issue for us. The staff was very helpful in arranging airport transportation. Definitely recommend this hotel.

My husband and I were here with our 11 year old grandson. Normally we would stay at a Marriott not quite in the hubbub of activity. But we thought the grandson would like being close to the action. It is a great location and you can walk everywhere. We even walked to the ball park on Sunday ( grandson was with his aunt and uncle) but that is a hefty walk. An hour for sure. It justified consuming the hot dog and beer!
Room is fine (albeit a bit small when you have an 11 yo child with you) and we had two double beds. And when you flush the toilet it sounds like a jet engine!
Breakfast is plentiful - Gold and Platinum members get a complimentary Continental breakfast. Hot items like eggs, bacon, potatoes are an additional $6. There is not a concierge lounge or a pool.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful. We loved the flavored water in the lobby and the cookies each night on the registration counter.
It's within walking distance of North Beach, the Italian section, with many, many great restaurants. We ate at Calzones and Rose Pistola - see my reviews- and had drinks at North Beach(?) restaurant. We sat outside and were served by a very friendly waiter.
Hotel is a good choice especially if you have kids with you.
