“Another great experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

We had a wonderful stay at this fabulous property. One thing they get right is SERVICE. Everyone on the staff we contacted could not have been more helpful. My boyfriend had the eggs benedict from room service and they were delicious. The view from the rooms is unbelievable. I wish every hotel was as comfortable.

Room Tip: The deluxe bay view room is superb.

What a great hotel in San Francisco....a fabulous room with amazing views, comfy bed...wonderful breakfast choices...very sharp concierges; extremely helpful. We went to dinner at The Waterfront on their recommendation; fabulous seafood. Can't wait to go back to this hotel.

Our stay here was part of a city vacation followed by a Monterey Bay relaxing long weekend vacation. We had many activities planned for the city portion and the location of the hotel was very convenient for us to get to everything we wanted to do - shopping, shows and sailing.
We were not in the room much except to sleep and we were very comfortable in our beds. Even though we were out of the room most of the time, we did choose a room with a view of the bay and the bridges. While we were not in the room long enough to spend a lot of time staring out the window, it was worth it for the sight you see first thing when you wake up and the last thing you see when you go to sleep. Our only complaint is that the lighting could be brighter for reading. But this seems to be a common issue with many hotels.

Room Tip: Room with a view of both bridges.

The team of concierge at MO SF is probably amongst the best. They were helpful, efficient and knowledgeable. With that it makes planning for day tour and getting around town much easier as they know what's going on in SF.

As with other reviews, the hotel may not be what you expect of MO in Asia. But hey, I really cannot fault the location and service. Every request was attended to with such efficiency.

Room is not big but adequate considering it is a city centre businessman hotel.

For what it is worth it is a walking distance to Chinatown and the shopping precinct of Union Sq is not that far away....15 mins walk if you don't stop to browse!

Just stayed for one night but enjoyed every minute from check-in to check-out. The service was outstanding from the valet and doorman to the front desk and bellman. Check-in was speedy and seamless. Afternoon tea and crumpets arrived shortly after check-in. The room was spacious and spotless and the view of the bay was mesmerizing from the 42nd floor. The bathroom is exquisite with marble tile, lots of glass and mirrors. There is a separate soaking tub with a view of the skyline and the San Francisco Bay. Very nice amenities included as well as bathrobes and slippers. This is a beautiful hotel tucked away in the heart of the financial district. It was amazingly quiet and secluded even though you know that the hustle and bustle of the city is just below you. The gym was exceptional with brand new technogym equipment. The spa on the same floor is small but welcoming and offered friendly and skilled therapists. The onsite restaurant serves a nice breakfast with plenty of options, service was friendly and attentive. Did not eat dinner or visit the bar. Great option for someone desiring personal service with all the amenities and perks of a large hotel in a fabulous location. Valet parking is $60.00 per night and there is no other option, so leave the car behind if possible. The hotel also has a house car available for short trips to dinner or nearby attractions.

Room Tip: Rooms facing Coit Tower and the bay have a fantastic view

Stayed for 3 nights and had 3 rooms to include our son and daughter. All rooms had spectacular views. All were in superb condition and we all felt pampered. The staff were wonderful. From the welcome at check in. The service and food in the ground floor restaurant outstanding. Brian the barman went out of his way to ensure that we tasted the wines we were searching for as did the restaurant manager who doubles as the sommelier. The doormen were truly helpful and kind, including offering, without any prompting, the hotel limo to take us to their recommended restaurant.
Net, the usual MO experience with additional friendly, human touches.

This was a decent enough property for San Francisco, but as far as a Mandarin Oriental goes, not in keeping with their other locations around the world. We had a nice stay and no real complaints. A solid three-star hotel.
