Simple hotel ,confusing and dark corridors. Nevertheless safe area.There is one elevator that will get you to the street level. Be sure to use this one with luggage , Otherwise you will have to lift your luggage up a flight of stairs should you use the other bank of elevators.Rooms clean but with almost black furniture. Safe in Room .Prompt and efficient house cleaners. Has self service laundry ,need room key to access. The laundry room also houses the ice machine and vending machines. Laundry detergent for sale in vending machine ($2) There is an independent business center ,15 minutes internet about US15 dollars. Free internet in Lobby , works great. Great check in staff. Very helpful concierge provided a map and highlighted the train and cable car routes..
Taxis always outside hotel (Went into town to a concert , near Asian museum..cost $22 in peak traffic vs $11 return to hotel around 11pm . Denny's restaurant ,ground level of A Holiday Inn Express around the corner. Walgreens Pharmacy nearby. Bought 3 day public transportation pass for $22 at Walgreens. Otherwise $2 to ride F train (in front of Walgreens) The F train takes you down The Embarcaderos where all the piers are and then unto market street. At Powell you can ride cable cars for $6 ( in lieu of the pass that I bought, great deal). Cable car will take you close to the hotel. Numerous places to eat around the hotel. There is a Burger King and A McDs closeby. Most of the restaurants at the wharf were seafood/italian types.
With all thats around makes this Hotel a great location that I would stay at again

Very good location, good restaurant and very comfortable rooms, well equiped and clean, rooms are small compare to other hyatt hotels and if you dont reserve in advance you will end up with a very big room price. but overall a very good stay.

We recently stayed at this Hyatt property for our daughters wedding. The staff was amazing and the property was very modern and clean.We stayed in a very comfortable king room with HDTV, internet access and walk in rain head shower. Some rooms have views of the bay and others of Iconic landmarks such as coit tower. Centrally located ,just a few steps to the wharf and all its attractions/resturants as well as SFs historic cable cars.All in all great place to stay,centrally located and highly recommended

I stayed in this hotel during Valentines Weekend 2013 and I was very pleased with how close it is to the pier and restaurants. Access to public transportation was only a 5 minute walk and there were a number or shops and restaurants close by. The hotel itself was good but not as great compared to the other hotels I have stayed in. The desk in the room was quite dusty and worn. The carpet looked new and the beds were comfortable, however, the furniture looked old and since it is dark in color, it is easy to spot the dust on the furniture. The bathroom was clean and modern looking. Wi fi is also very expensive and the hallways are very long and complex. Overall, it was comfortable for the few nights we stayed and we enjoyed San Francisco.
