The Harbor Court has a great location on the waterfront between the Bay Bridge and the Ferry Building, and is only a short walk from the BART. If you can grab the right room, you’ll get a beautiful view of the bridge.
The rooms are tiny, but nicely appointed in the trendy Kimpton style (stay at any one of their hotels and you’ll recognize it). The bathrooms are equally small, but functional, and decently organized. Rooms come with bathrobes, usually in animal prints, and a fully-stocked mini bar. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable.
They have a complimentary coffee service in the morning and wine in the afternoon, both served in the stylish living room-like lobby. Sometime in the evening you can snag a chocolate chip cookie and milk before they disappear.
Though not quite the bargain, and with less innate charm than the Inn at Union Square, this is a nice alternative in a different area of San Francisco.
