Amazing service...helpful, friendly. Wonderful touches such as the 9 pm warm milk and cookies. Lobby had marvelous seating area. room nicely designed. Location, on the Embarcadero near the Ferry Terminal was perfect.

This waterfront hotel was excellent. Staff was so friendly and couldnt be more helpful in making sure you have what you need. I would like to say that our valet Neil was so friendly and asked daily if he could do anything for us. Also the valet who was there at night (sorry didnt get his name) also asked what we did for the day and if we needed anything also. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit San Fran. We walked to the pier for dining and activities and was close. Also the Hop on Hop Off tour picks you up right outside the Hotel. I cannot say enough about this place. I usually do not rate our vacations but I felt this one deserved it.

We stay here several times a year. The staff is always friendly and helpful. If you book a bay view room you won't be disappointed with the stunning views. It's walking distance to the financial district and excellent restaurants. If you're on vacation, it's also close to the Ferry Building (don't miss the Saturday farmer's market) and BART. Definitely recommended.

Have been staying here for business and pleasure for many years and love it. Good price point, location near waterfront is excellent. Kimpton hotels have a great frequent guest program. Nice small perks, such as free wine and beer social every evening and cookies every night. Great staff, very little turnover. Also, we love Ozumo, the sushi restaurant in the hotel.

Both my wife and I try to stay in Kimpton properties and this was our second stay in this property, the first one being approximately 16 months ago. Great location and friendly/helpful staff. Rooms are small but quite clean. It is just the little things that seem to have deteriorated since our last stay. We love the wine social and while they expanded to beers and softdrinks they have virtually eliminated the snacks having just pretzels that were somewhat stale. One person staffing the night we attended and superficially friendly but really did not want to be serving wine and couldn't get it closed down at exactly 6 PM fast enough. Also, no longer even offer anything but coffee for breakfast. Other small little differences that seem to show the management is sort of trying to squeeze more in their margins.

I would continue to recommend this hotel though the next time we will probably stay in a different Kimpton. If it was our first stay I would probably absolutely recommend but again, just noticing a small deterioration in services and staff.

I spent a week at the Harbor Court on business in November 2012. The location right on the Embarcadero is excellent, with views of the bay and the Bay Bridge. There are many good restaurants, bars, and shopping within walking distance. The rooms are nicely furnished, though rather small. Although the Harbor Court does not have a gym, you can access a fantastic YMCA next door via an adjoining door. There is a $10 fee to use the YMCA, which seems excessive since the hotel does not have it's own gym. Perhaps the best thing about the hotel is the service. All of the staff were excellent and went out of their way to provide personalized service and make me feel at home. I will definitely stay at the Harbor Court again.

We loved the Harbor Court! The entire staff is extremely helpful. The rooms are a little small (it was once the YMCA), but they have been nicely re-done and are very clean. We got a kick out of the fact that you can have a goldfish in your room (on request). If you want to work out, they have day passes at the YMCA next door. The harbor view costs extra; next time we'll do that, as it is superb. Standard rooms just look out on the AC ducts, but we didn't spend many daylight hours in the room. Note: If you don't want to pay for the hotel's pricey valet parking, there's a garage right down the block. I think it's about $20 per day, but that's not bad for SF.

The location was also great. We've done many weekends in SF (we live in the suburbs), and had always stayed near Union Square. This time we stayed on the Embarcadero, and had a great time. It's much less noisy than the Union Square area, the Embarcadero is great for walking both day and night, it's easy to get to most downtown attractions, and there are enough restaurants nearby at different price ranges. If you are there on Saturday, go to the Ferry Building Farmer's Market. We took the ferry to Oakland and back around sunset. For $13 (round-trip) you get a great sunset cruise (it even has a bar). We'll definitely stay at the Harbor Court again.

Room Tip: They allow pets, but if you are allergic to them, request the pet-free floor.
