“Great location and service, very small rooms though”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2012

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed their great service. Following are the main pros and cons of the hotel.

Pros:
1) Hotel - The hotel looks very clean and well-maintained.
2) Location - It's in a great location, very close to the BART station and Ferry building and some good restaurants and downtown offices.
3) Service - The service is simply awesome and they go out of the way to make you feel comfortable.

Cons:
1) Rooms' Size - The rooms are really, really small and I would not recommend them for extended stays or for families. There was hardly any space for me to walk around as the bed pretty much took up most of the room. The hotel is a good choice for 1 night stays.
2) Breakfast - Their "hearty breakfast" is very expensive and you hardly get anything worthwhile for what you pay. The pricing is exorbitant even for a downtown hotel.

This hotel worked out great for us. It's a good location, wonderful service and a fun, quirky vibe.
We were able to walk to the Ferry Building, park easily in the area and enjoy being so close to the water. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more friendly.

We stayed here for a couple of nights while on vacation in the area and loved the hotel. Kimpton does it right. The service all around was outstanding -- the reception staff were incredibly helpful in tracking down a restaurant that we had heard about but didn't know the name. Definitely stay in a room with a Bay Bridge view -- absolutely awesome during the day and at night. Room was small, but laid out very well and nice use of mirrors made it seem much bigger. The morning coffee service in the lobby was the best of any hotel that I can remember -- the upper lobby itself was so inviting with a fireplace and sleek cosmopolitan furniture. Perfect location for visit(s) to the Ferry Building, especially for the Saturday farmer's market.

This was easily the best customer service of our stay. The location right on EMBARCADERO was fab with a front door that takes you straight onto the waterfront. the staff were incredible, the best customer service; friendly, enthusiastic, effiicient and helpful. Great in room set up with lush robes and a well used iPod dock. The "living room" downstairs was beautiful and welcoming with a fire, chess, and complimentary wine at 1700. cookies and milk at 2130 with ice cream to make floats! YMCA right next door with a pool. Several good restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Only downside for me was no hot drink maker in the room. Free coffee available in the lobby in the morning but no close coffee stand during the rest of the day. Small niggle in a FAB overall experience. Relaxed from the moment we entered.

Room Tip: We were in room 704 overlooking other buildings. Not a huge room but Well set up. External building...

Close to the Ferry Building, lots of good restaurants. Our room had a wonderful view of the bay. Great staff--friendly, welcoming. We arrived just as the wine hour was ending, and Jason at the front desk gave us a glass of wine to take to our room! A great stay :)

Room Tip: Pay extra for the bay view--it was wonderful to watch the boats and see the bridge lights from our b...

Started a 10 day vacation in the Bay Area with 4 nights at the Harbor Court in San Francisco. Fabulous hotel in a fabulous location. The room we had was perfect ... with a view of the Bay Bridge right outside our window. Definitely worth the extra few dollars to have the goregous view. The housekeeping was wonderful and the room very quiet and comfortable even though a bit small. The size didn't bother us ... it was really cozy. Perfect location right near the Ferry Building and a cable car stop. Also was a very nice brisk long walk from Fisherman's Wharf where we walked for breakfast. The hotel doesn't have a compimentary breakfast but it does have a wine reception daily. Also in the neighborhood are very good restaurants such as "Boulevard". It is a must to have dinner at "The Tadich Agrill" on California. Exceptional!! Would definitely stay at the Harbor Court again. Had a wonderful experience! The staff was as accomadating as they could be ... very professional without being pretentious. Just perfect for us.

Room Tip: Definitely go for the bay view rooms. Totally worth the extra few bucks. Another plus is that...

This is a clean little boutique hotel in the gentrified South of Market area of San Francisco, right on the embarcadero. It is close to the Embarcadero BART stop and the bus lines on Mission.. It is also close to the downtown office core, but don't mistake this cozy little place for a business hotel. The internet is very inconsistent and often quite slow. If you want real food early in the morning, either because you have early work meetings or are just jet lagged, you are out of luck. The hotel offers a healthy start "continental" breakfast, but their idea of healthy is pastries.

There is no taxi stand here, so if you need a taxi plan to wait while they call one for you.

The room was clean. The time on the digital clock is almost impossible to see.
