Great place to land when walking all over San Francisco. Wine reception and walking terrace add to the many amenities available.

Room Tip: Ask to be away from the streets below.

We travel to SF every year and have stayed in many different hotels(all have been good).
I couldn't get in to usual spot so tried Galleria, and was very pleased. will stay there again.
The location was great. Aprox 2 blocks from Muni, 1/2 block from Claude Alley and Belden Place restaurants, next door to Crocker Galleria which has Farmer's Market, walk to Union Square, etc. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Wine in the late afternoon was a nice touch. Our room was very large with fun decor and the bathroom was also large and had the best lighting I have ever had.

Loved it all. The bright lively staff. The great bathrooms, location, price. Just felt completely renewed after only 4 days. I had been really down and I was there by myself just being myself doing what I want when I want and it was just the right place to be.

Room Tip: I would think that most rooms are quiet at night because of the location of the hotel. If they aren...

GPH is my home away from home when I need to be in SF for business. From the well-situated rooms to the friendly, dependable staff to the excellent location, GPH is the only hotel for me.

GPH is perfectly located a couple blocks off Union Square - not smack in the middle of crazy traffic, but so close you're there before you know it. It is a short walk from BART & Market St. and near Ferry Building and Embarcadero. It feels safe to walk around area at night and there are usually helpful doormen there to hail a cab or greet and welcome you back. The cafe on the corner, Bread & Cocoa, is a nice place to grab breakfast, coffee, a snack... whatever you need. Couldn't really ask for more in SF.

We booked a King Deluxe room to ensure we had plenty of space. The first room they checked us into was an interior and felt claustrophobic so I rang the front desk and asked about other options - they offered an exterior room without any fuss and sent up a key right away. Very professional and courteous all around. The only thing that held this back from 5 stars for us was that housekeeping missed coming in on Saturday even though we were gone most of the day. No big deal, but just a smidge under that pure premium feel.

Recommend!

Room Tip: Ask for an exterior room!

I received an email promotion offering a great rate for a Saturday night stay during High Season Christmas shopping time at Union Square. We make appoint to stay in the city every year for Christmas! This little boutique hotel was unbelievable!! Beautifully decorated and so incredibly convenient to Union Square and dining!!! And the outdoor garden area was lovely!! Staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel! Great value for the money and a wonderful experience all the way around.

Room Tip: We were on the 7th floor at the recommendation of Zach the front desk manager! Nice and quiet with c...

I booked the Galleria Park through my conference (AGU) and was pleased with the experience. The hotel is in an excellent walkable spot with easy access to everywhere downtown. The room was quiet and comfortable though the bed cover was a bit lightweight. The front desk staff were very friendly and apparently the offered a free evening wine reception and coffee morning which was a kind gesture but didn't help me since I don't drink wine or coffee. Donuts and hot chocolate would have been better. I would stay here again. I hope this is a helpful review for you.
