“Excellent hotel with great service every visit I have”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

I have been here in sf on and off for many years . I found this hotel and have stayed and liked the rooms which are very clean. The rates of the hotel have always been reasonable which is one of the reason I keep coming back. Besides that the staff has been excellent. remembering your name, providing great customer service, making sure your stay was pleasant. The current manager Pranab is a great addition to this hotel of which I have noticed great improvements in service and overall stay along with the front desk clerk Steff who always smiles, knows who you are, and gets you checked in and out easy. People like these two make you want to come back and visit again. There are so many hotels in SF that dont care who you are, or take the time to give the extra mile of service and you are paying through the nose for it. I will always recommend this hotel to friends or people in passing looking for a place to stay during their visit.

Room Tip: the layout of each room is great. If you want a little more space choose a studio room

The speed of the wifi was very slow, as slow as dial up, no matter which device we connected (MacBook Air, Asus Laptop, tablets, phones) - so if having a reliable Internet connection is essential on your holiday then I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience there.

Another point to raise is that the hot and cold water were plumbed the wrong way around in the shower - if you moved the lever to 'H' it made the shower colder!

Finally, there hotel did not sell stamps, which our previous hotel had done, and we were unable to visit a Post Office during opening hours. I am not marking the hotel down for this but it would have been useful to. All the locations the US Post Office website suggested nearby that we visited only sold local stamps and in large quantities meaning we did not get to send our San Francisco postcards until we had flown to San Antonio in Texas.

On our last night we were slightly disturbed by noise in the rooms around us, but it was not too bad and I can't blame the hotel for the behaviour of other guests.

I don't want to sound too negative, because other than these issues - there was nothing wrong with the hotel. The breakfast was slightly better than average for this type of hotel and to have parking in the middle of San Francisco (it was a 3 mile walk to Fisherman's walk which took about 45 minutes to walk at a decent pace, an hour if you ambled) The rooms were clean, TV were old CRTs which seems to be standard for this type of hotel in the US.

my boyfriend and I stayed here for one night last week, he works in san francisco so we thought maybe to stay at this place because they had a pool and it was warm in san francisco that day. Of course we were going to go out that day and didn't want to drive home to san mateo drunk. the awesome part of our stay was the great staff ,we were a little drunk and after the swim the young women at the front desk name "stephanie" helped us out with some new towels, my boyfriend said when he was checking in they gave him a discount because he worked for tripple aaa which was also a plus! she also gave us a nice big room. We loved our stay..especially the great customer service from stephanie, defintely will be back and will recommend this place to others.

I have been to this hotel a couple of times from a long day of traveling and every time I stop by the staff is always helpful. I usually run into Jenny and her current Manager a lot and their fun to have laughs with. They try and remember people that visit one time or regularly. They are nice always nice. Everyone else is very nice as well very happy people. The rooms are nice, the pillows a little hard but who can complain I'm glad to have a couple to sleep on. There is no parking fee which is a major plus. Theres a bar close by, trader joes, bed bath and beyond, and on the way walking there you can stop by and get really cute tasty cupcakes. MMMmmm. I recommend.

We selected this motel when en route for San Francisco as it did not include a parking fee in the cost as many other hotels did. The room was small although clean and tidy and was maintained each day we were there. The breakfast wasn't up to much and the fact that the person looking after the room had a tips pot! Some cheek considering breakfast was included in the cost. San Francisco taxes are horrendous, I paid $73.04 for three days Transent Tax (What ever that is) and $8.90 for SF Tourism Tax.
My tip for this motel is not to book a Friday night as we paid $322.05 and only $132.05 and $139.00 respectively for Saturday and Sunday.

After a long drive we were exhausted. It was late at night or morning to say the least, it was 3.00am and we were tired and hungry.....there was not a single thing that was open for food. We were ready to sleep hungry...... We directly landed to this motel and found that the room was available. The price was decent, we got a room was ready to sleep and then there was a knock on the door. The clerk working in the front desk was so helpful that he brought us some food we could eat, it was more of the breakfast item but we were so glad that he brought it. We had food, place to sleep and the room was pleasant, the only complaint regarding this place would be that we had to be out by 11.00 but well the visit to this place was worth it.
