Overall this hotel is quite nice. Every day at five they have a free wine reception, and they offer tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the morning. The room was small, but nice. Each room comes with a yoga mat you can use, but I'm not sure there's actually enough space to lay it out. You have to pay for wifi, which I am never a fan of, but there are a lot of cafes in the area that offer wifi.
If you go one block away you're in a less-than-nice neighborhood. It's close to union square and Chinatown, but a bit of a hike from the wharf and coit tower. Even further from the golden gate and Castro areas.
I didn't have the chance to check out the gym area. I had a great time here but not sure I would stay here again, mostly due to location.
