“Great location..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2014

We stayed her for 3 days last year and it was ideally located to many attractions including the trams, fishermans wharf and open top bus routes.
The staff were super friendly and always happy to help. The food was good although only had breakfast as we decided to eat in local restaurants.

The room were modern and well furnished with a huge mirror in our room. We felt comfortable and safe in this hotel in a smashing location.

Would highly recommend :-)

This is a perfect base for exploring SF. Close to Fisherman’s Wharf, but still in a relatively quiet and less touristy area. You are pretty close to the cable cars as well, and several attractions are actually within walking distance.
Level of service is extraordinary, especially the reception team was amazing. Fantastic welcome and always helpful to any queries you might have. Hotel has a complimentary wine reception in the afternoon, and it seemed to be very popular.
Rooms are really nice and bright. Not to spacious though, but still very well appointed. The Tuscan obviously not being a newly built hotel, but still very well maintained.
Valet parking is extremely expensive at 57$ daily incl. tax, but public parking almost same price, so why not just choose this convenient option.
Only disappointment about the hotel was the onside restaurant. Food was pretty good, but the service was very impersonal and unwelcoming, but maybe this was just a coincidence.
We would definitely like to stay here again if returning to SF.

Hi mollerCopenhagen - Thanks for staying with us and for the 5 Star review. Your glowing words for the hotel and staff are very much appreciated. Sorry to hear that our restaurant Pescatore was a bit of a letdown. Your feedback is very important so that we can address areas which need some attention. I've shared your comments with the restaurant manager as we expect brilliant service in all areas of the hotel and restaurant. Thanks again for the kind comments and we hope to have the pleasure of serving you again soon...

The Staff was SUPER and extremely polite. Love the fresh apples daily on the counter and the happy hour from 5 to 6 pm. The rooms were a bit small - but we were not in the rooms long. Only to sleep. I would highly recommend this hotel - Do not listen to all the negative comments from guest. You need to make your own decision, I think it was a fabulous choice for our family. Plus they have fresh free coffee daily!!!!

I am a travel agent and use this hotel for all of my clients. Wonderful location and within walking distance to most major sights! Beautiful, boutique property! The best customer service! There was an issue with my clients rooms and Tom, the assistant manager took care of them right away! Plus paid their bar bill! Now that's a hotel concerned for their customers satisfaction! Best hotel in San Francisco! I wouldn't stay at another!

Spent 3 days in San Fran at the Tuscan.
Lots to like about this place.
The location is perfect for exploring Fishermans Wharf, and all the shopping areas around there.
The wine reception in the evening was a winner! Great idea.
Dined at the restaurant one evening, and the meals were fantastic.
There was no breakfast included, but the restaurant did serve it.
There is a supermarket next door, so you can arrange a budget friendly breakfast for yourself too
Free wifi is always welcome.

There was quite a bit of noise that came through the air-con, even when it was off. (Had to cover it with a towel) but that is what happens in big cities.

All in all, you will not be disappointed in this hotel.

Room Tip: Possibly avoid a room facing the street.

If you want a hotel in the heart of San Fran then look no further, clean, modern and excellent service. Would 100% stay again. Even with the added fire alarms, but that just added to the entertainment for the evening! Nothing more to say than that.

Just got back from a 5 day stay at the Tuscan Inn, in the Fisherman's Wharf section of San Francisco.....what a great experience. Nice to see they've maintained their quality service. It's been 15 years since my wife and I stayed there, and we were impressed by the renovations that had been made in that time.Upon our recommendation, four other families (members of the groom's family) stayed there as well. All were very pleased with the Inn. They really appreciated the Inn's location and the helpful staff. They also appreciated the complementory coffee in the
lobby in the morning, and especially the wine in the evening.Friends of ours who were staying at a nearby hotel were impressed by the lobby and the fact that the Inn served wine to its guests each evening.Kudos to the staff at the front desk, the concierge, and to the doormen;everyone was friendly and very helpful.Lastly, we must mention our appreciation of the service provided by the assistant manager of the restaurant, Pescatore, Sergio.Friends of ours, from another hotel, dined with us at the Pescatore. Our waiter spilled some spaghetti gravy on our friend's sweater. Sergio immediately had the garment sent to be dry cleaned...Two days later we received the restored garment.Needless to say,our friend was thrilled. Will definitely recommend the Tuscan Inn to anyone going to 'Frisco. (P.S. Good food at Pescatore)
