“Great Hotel & Awesome STAFF”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

After my Husband & I drove 1629.39 miles from Oklahoma City to San Francisco this hotel was a welcome site. We arrived on July 2nd and check in was quick & easy, The Staff allowed us to check in early(Thank You). Room 439 was very clean & cozy. The entire STAFF was Awesome from the Front desk to the smiling Housekeepers each & everyone
of the Staff made of feel very welcome, and the Wine Reception was very nice, its was a great way to meet other guest with great tips for seeing SF. The Concierge told my Husband & I about the Big Bus Tours this turned out to be great advice (We saw the 4th of July Fireworks on the bus AWESOME). Paying for Parking was no problem after paying $6:00 a gallon for gas in BIG SUR. If its Gods will,we hope to see you all next year. Thanks Mia for your Kindness.

The Tuscan is very conveniently located near top-rated restaurants, shops and tourists' attractions. We enjoyed touring San Francisco and especially visiting the Fisherman's Wharf which basically is the hotel's backyard. Waking up to a view of the sea was not bad at all too. We were given great service, especially for a family with a toddler. The staff is very amiable and helpful. We will definitely come back.

Thank you to the staff and management for a wonderful stay. My family and I stayed in your lovely hotel as we visited the beautiful San Francisco. The location was perfect for visiting the Americas Cup village and getting around. The rooms were super comfy and most importantly clean. The staff was very friendly and so helpful with directions around the city and helping find things to do. Thanks again Tuscan. Two thumbs up!!!!

We spent 5 nights in San Francisco on vacation. We loved our stay at the Tuscan Inn. You can't beat the location - 2 blocks from Fisherman's Wharf; 3 blocks from the cable car line; 1 block from Trader Joe's. Our room was quiet and very comfortable. We opened the window to get that cool San Francisco breeze - the hotel was not stuffy like some hotels are. There was an air conditioner/ heater but we didn't use it. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was a mini-bar refrigerator in the room which we only used to keep snacks in. We were extremely impressed with the restaurant that is in the hotel. We ate breakfast there a couple of days and had had dinner there twice. The food in San Francisco was very "hit and miss". Most restaurants do not use spices or seasonings - even those that were highly recommended to us such as Scomas. The Pescatore restaurant served fresh, interesting menu options. We loved it. Will definitely stay there again.

We just returned from 5 nights at the Tuscan and were very impressed. Location is excellent to visit anything and everything in SF...we walked all over the place, and Ghirardelli Square, Fisherman's Wharf, and at least 2 tour companies (to go anywhere and everywhere in the city_ were all within a very short distance...Pier 39 and Pier 33, where you get the Alcatraz boat, is also withing walking distance)...room was quiet (except for a little street noise which is to be expected in a large city)...room was very clean and had the most comfortable beds...staff was extremely helpful and friendly. A special shout-out to Natalia, the concierge (who helped us out by phone PRIOR to our trip with Alcatraz tickets and other recommendations) and Matt, the bellman who got us situated last Sat. night and recommended a good restaurant at Fisherman's Wharf for dinner (plus pointing out Pescatore, located within the hotel). Housekeeping was done well each day and we enjoyed the wine reception 2 days of our stay. The #30 MUNI bus stop is just a short walk away too, for trips to North Beach restaurants, AT&T Park, Union Square, etc. Highly recommended, and we'll be back if we return to SF!

Room Tip: We were on the street side on 4th floor and only had problems with street noise on Saturday night, w...

very nice hotel, excellent location for anything you want to do in the city, close to all modes of transportation so you can park the car and leave it!! Suites were a little on the small side, but understandable given the real estate in the area!

I really wanted to like this hotel. It is in a good location and the staff was quite helpful when our reservation was messed up (our fault). However, I would have to warn potential guests to steer clear. This hotel is one of the most expensive in the area. You would think for the price we paid we would not have to deal with the horrendous street noise. This noise went on all night. I felt like I was sleeping at a very busy truck stop. This hotel needs to charge less for these particular rooms and most definitely warn potential guests what kind of noise could be expected. Better yet, they should change the windows in these rooms to help dampen the noise. Quite literally considered sleeping in the bathroom where it was nice and quiet.

Room Tip: Ask if your room is on the street. If it is? Don't take it.

Hi jumpnfool - On behalf of everyone here at the Tuscan, we are sorry that the street noise resulted in your not being able to enjoy a night of tranquil relaxation and rest. I hope all of your future travels are safe and your accommodations provide the satisfaction and comfort you expect.
