“Ideal Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

couldn`t believe how good this Hotels location is, quiet off center location, just a few minutes , literally and your at Fishermans Warf.On booking in they gave us a double room for two men and when we explained we booked singles they said "you may have requested it but thats not whats on your agents booking!!"The rooms were good, very good, coffee not quite so good, but hey it was drinkable.the restaurant was always busy, but they were very efficient and the food was good.Large portions.at night it was very quiet, even the air conditioning was virtually silent.Loved this hotel. we bought passes in England for trips etc, which was a good move as everywhere seriously busy,Alcatraz was booked up until next month, though touts were still on the streets flogging them.all in all . a very good hotel

Room Tip: All rooms we saw very good.

This hotel is a quick walk to the wharf, the cable cars, and several lovely restaurants.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

We had a king room. The room was rather small (NYC sized room), but the bed was comfy and it certainly met our needs.

There is coffee in the lobby in the morning. You can get breakfast for a reasonable price at the restaurant.

For sight seeing in SF, you would be hard pressed to find a better combination of location, price and service.

The world famous Fisherman's Wharf and the SF cable car and the crooked Lambard Street all in walking distance, how could you top this location?! Well, by adding the great services in relative quiet and comfort in this wonderful hotel. The staff are professional and courteous, the evening happy hour draws a big gathering of guests to enjoy free wine and hors d'oeuvres, many restaurants nearby to choose from. We live in the Bay Area so it seems excessive to spend $$$ to stay in SF overnight. But it was my birthday and we had a free reward night from BW. So we decided to spend a Sunday night here and were very satified with the overall experience. The room is a bit smallish but clean, functional, and comfortalbe. Parking is expensive - Valet parking with in/out privilege is $45/night plus tax - but you could park overnight in the garage next door for ONLY $35/night.

Room Tip: We stayed in the top floor (4th) and can hear the noise from the air conditioning units on the roof...

We spent 9 days here on our family vacation. Once at the airport our plans changed due to the Asiatic Airline disaster, and we could not fly out for an additional 4 days. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Although they only had one room left during our unexpected return they brought additional bedding and supplies to our room at no extra charge, in fact we were given a discounted rate due to the circumstances.
The hotel is centrally located. Just 2 short blocks up from Fisherman's Wharf it is very quiet but close enough to get to shopping, dining, and attractions within a 5 minute walk. The hotel is clean and nicely appointed. The beds are extremely comfortable. There is an IHOP and Denny's within 2 blocks that stay open all night for a late night meal.
I definately recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: The queen rooms are different sizes. We paid the same amount for them, although one was about 10 fe...

Stayed 5 nights mid June. The hotel is very clean and even with all the guests it was not noisy. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The location is perfect! We enjoyed the evening wine social; it gave us the opportunity to speak to other guests and share ours and their days events.
The complimentary coffee and tea in the morning was much appreciated.
The location is perfect - good access for walking to sites and close to all transportation.
We had a delightful stay and would consider returning to this hotel.

All hotels in the Wharf are overpriced, so you are paying for location. Tuscan has a great location with clean (but small) rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. Two blocks from the Embarcadero and 4 blocks to Pier 39. Restaurant in hotel is good and wine receptions are fun. Only negative is if you get a room facing the street, the street noise level is terrible. We are sound sleepers but trash trucks, street Sweepers, motorcycles, bus stop, etc. are very loud. The weather was great but we could not open the windows because of noise levels. Ask for an inside room facing the garden courtyard to avoid the noise.

Stayed 4 nights at the end of June. The hotel has everything you need. The staff were very friendly and took the time to give us good sight seeing advise. There is no brekkie but free coffee is laid on in the morning. We had a king bed room which although not enormous was plenty big enough and very comfortable. We only managed the wine tasting once but it was really good. Its not a wine tasting at all - more a drink as much as you want or can. Its very popular and gives a chance to chat with other guests. The position is superb - on a reasonably quiet street close to Fishermans Wharf and F line trains to take you to various piers. One small minus - the car valet charge of $45 is excessive as the car parking block next to the hotel only charges $25 a day.
