“Fishy goodness in SF”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012 via mobile

Absolutely love this comfort-food style restaurant, always with delicious daily fish specials, and their stand-by Fish and chips, Lobster and Crab rolls, and love their fish pasta dishes. Thanks to Dylan, Rowan, Tyler and the WFC staff for always delivering a quality meal and pleasant surroundings.

“Delicious fish and chips”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

The fish and chips were delicious here! The fish was extremely fresh and flaky. Not too much breading. And the chips/fries were perfectly crispy!

“Dungeness Crab Roll is DIVINE!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

All-in-all this place was fabulous. My husband and I each ordered an Dungeness Crab roll and it was simply amazing. I am a seafood lover and this roll beat out the famous Lobster roll I ate in Maine a few years back! The price for the roll may look a little steep, but there are NO fillers... just straight crab on a buttered grilled roll.

“Good Fish & Chips”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

I went to the Fillmore location and found Woodhouse to have a simple but charming ambiance. Both my husband and I had the fish and chips - excellent, light fish, plenty of fries and a small portion of cole slaw for $11. We were there early on a Saturday evening so no wait and practically had the place to ourselves. Would definitely go back!

“A MUST!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

Crab roll.

There, I said it. The most important thing you need to know, is to get the crab roll. Large, small, doesn't matter. It's so good! I've had other dishes here, but the crab roll remains legendary in my mind. You might have to wait for a table, but you'll be happy you did. The staff is friendly, and the food, no matter what you get, will be good.

This particular time, my wife and I ordered after a short wait. The waitress brought us two bowls of clam chowder, instead of our ordered one, because the kitchen was running a touch behind. We weren't bothered by it, and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

It might be a little far from where you're staying, but it's close to transit lines, so hop on the MUNI and get down to the Castro for some great food.
