I booked this after researching “Things to do in San Francisco” for our honeymoon and was very glad that I did. My wife can be quite nervous of new things and does not have the best balance in the world (even when sober) and I was a little worried that she wouldn’t want to try. For the first 5 minutes of the training she looked petrified and I was waiting for her to bail out. My fears were unfounded as 5 minutes after going out she was grinning and asking if the Segway would go faster. Defiantly the best thing we did in San Francisco and would recommend it to anyone. One main tip would be to take a jacket as it was really cold at the beginning of June.

We visited San Francisco for one day on a cruise ship. We booked this tour on our own, since it was not offered as a shore excursion. The office is an easy 10 minute walk from the cruise ship terminal, and the tour was the highlight of our day (maybe even of the entire cruise!). The staff spent adequate time on training before we started, then it was off to ride up and down the hills of San Francisco on our Segways. Each member of the group was provided with a radio receiver, and the tour guide provided a fascinating commentary and detailed instructions throughout the trip. Great tour!

To be honest it was all about the Segway riding for us and secondary was the entertaining tour. Learning how to ride was insanely easy, within five minutes I felt good enough to give it a go out in the streets even though we had to go back into a room and watch a 15 minute video which tells you more about your Segway and how to handle any potential functional issues your Segway could have if you improperly ride it. Jerome was our tour guide (looked like Tom Greene) and he was very entertaining with his jokes. The end of the tour is the best when you get about 15 minute to zoom up and down an area that has wonderful views of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate where our tour guide was happy to take our photos. Hint- when having your photo taken, take off your tour safety vest as it is reflective and it will show up if your camera has a flash. I noticed this reflective issue when taking photos in the beginning and our guide saw no issue with allowing us to take our vest off when posing for photos at the end of the tour. Some of the attractions along the route were not of interest to me but again, as I mentioned earlier, it was all about the Segway and less about the tour. I'd go again in a heart beat and take the advanced tour that goes down Lombard Street.

Just back from San Francisco and this tour was one of the highlights of our trip.
The segway is very easy to ride and after about five minutes most people are proficient
and after ten everyone was an expert ( sort of ). The instuctors/ guides are excellent and
nobody was left out or made to feel uneasy. The tour itself is amazing and takes in
most of the major attactions around the city. The looks you get from onlookers is worth
the money alone. It may seem initially expensive but please trust me this tour is definately worth it.
