Let's get the dislike out of the way first. The Giants sell out their stadium. That means you are there with over 40,000 of your closest friends. Forty. Thousand! That's a lot of people. If you love crowds, great. If you are a little apprehensive, that's OK. Everybody stays cool and collected and the lines move smoothly,
Now the good stuff. You can get there on public transportation. Muni stops literally across the street. It's a beautiful stadium in a gorgeous location on the shore of San Francisco Bay. The views from the seats are spectacular.
The variety of food available is quite amazing. The big problem is that you have to leave your seat and walk all over the stadium to learn about all of it which is really hard to do if you are interested in baseball and want to see the game. There are TV monitors all over the place, but if you want to see baseball on TV, stay home and cook whatever you want to eat. It's not as big a problem as I make it sound, but I was there last Friday, the Giants were behind and I was STARVING! mid-way through the 7th inning I went to get something to eat and POW! they scored two runs to take the lead (they gave it up later, but that's not my point).
Don't expect McDonald's prices. $7.75 for really good garlic fries or nachos. $10 for fish and chips. $9 for a beer (but there are some good beers to be had).
