A bright sunny day and the festivities at America’s Cup Park on the adjacent pier brought us to this typical mid-range San Francisco waterfront restaurant on the Embarcadero. The busy, but not too busy to be friendly and welcoming, hostess seated us, after a short wait, on the deck in the warmth of the sun. Although we had had to wait it was apparently not for a lack of tables but possibly wait staff. No matter, our server was warm, friendly, and in no way rushed or pushed. My wife ordered the Chicken, Bacon, and Avocado sandwich on a ciabatta roll whilst I had the crab and shrimp sandwich, also on a ciabatta roll (which our server substituted happily for the sourdough bread which is listed on the menu).
Our sannies came with crisp garlic fries which were absolutely delicious, thus matching the sannies themselves. Our server checked on us a couple times, made sure our water glasses were full, and thanked us warmly when we left. The prices were right and the quality high. Had there been a few more seafood items on the menu I would have given them a full five stars.
