“Used to be better and more crowded”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

I have to rate average now. Used to be very busy, but now half empty with workers going through the motions except for the cute Greek looking waitress that has been there for years and takes care of you with attentive service plus a charming smile (charming-charming says Kareem Bey to James Bond).

Average American breakfast and lunch with a view of the ocean. Do not order paper thin waffle. A few Greek specialties on menu but nothing to write home about.

It used to attract a lot of locals but they have gone to greener pastures I guess.

“Patty Melt Done Right!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2014

Their menu is expansive and we had brunch so some of us had breakfast and some lunch! My husband had a Patty Melt which was done right! Easy to say but in reality very few places do it right. The staff was friendly listen to each order and accommodated the special requests without hesitation. My eggs were done as requested and other members of our party requested 'crispy' bacon, which they successfully served! The prices are very reasonable, our meals for 5 adults was $58, that's less than $12 a person...where else can you find a full meal for such a reasonable price in San Francisco! We will go again when in the area!

“Consistent Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2014

If you want a place to have a good omelette, burger, or many other diner type items that is close to the beach and not that expensive then go to Seal Rock Inn. The food is consistent, so you know what you are going to get and it is always good, not fabulous, but good. It seems to be crowded most of the time at lunch time, the only time I've gone, but I've heard that weekends for breakfast and brunch are very crowded. Parking is usually not a problem, and if you cannot find street parking I know that you can park in the open motel parking lot.

“Meh”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2014

We stayed at Seal Rock Inn hotel, which was fine, and decided to have lunch at the on-site cafe one day. We were pretty disappointed, unfortunately. They were out of french fries that day and substituted with hash browns. Kind of a gross flavor with a hamburger. My meal was a little nondescript, nothing stood out as being great. Service was slow and I ended up taking the kids back to the hotel room while my husband waited on the check. Overall, the food filled our bellies but, despite the convenience, we only ate there once.

“Fine if you are staying nearby”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2014

But not worth a special trip. Good food, American diner, not gourmet. Super omelets that made a great lunch. Good service, decent prices.
